It could be the holiday season. Do your articles answer questions organic searchers are posing at this time? During the holidays from Thanksgiving to New Year's Day in the US, people are searching for recipes, gift ideas, decorating tips, etc.
Be patient. Evergreen articles aren't as successful as holiday-themed articles at this time of year. Poetry also doesn't typically see much organic traffic at any time of year, but especially now.
No results for "power tools" in SERPS for Dengarden either. I think the "Den" part doesn't work as regards Google ranking. Maybe split it off and create a new home improvement niche site.
I think that the Arena changes will mean major reorganization. Whether there will even still be niches in their current form, I wonder?
We got the overview in "business-speak", but the practical implications are yet to be revealed.
Part of the reason that I've been less involved in the forums (besides me traveling for a month) is that I see the current set-up as temporary.
Will they lump everything that's not money or sport together into a big "lifestyle" niche? Or will there be lots of "sub-niches"?
I guess we'll find out, eventually.
Won't we be back to square one then and living on a content farm?
I wouldn't call HP a content farm, but it's obvious we are not getting many directions.
I like the multiple niches because I don't like having all my eggs in one basket. Part of the reason that I write about a variety of topics is that the risk is spread. I also created more accounts during the subdomains period for the same reason.
I would be very wary if they put everything into one, or just a few, pots. A Google algo change can be devastating in that situation. Right now, things aren't great, but the effects of the algo changes are mollified by each niche having some independence in terms of performance.
I agree with you, Paul. I'm not tied to one niche; I enjoy writing about different topics. I think that gives the writer a more widespread audience. Some do well, others don't. Putting your eggs in one basket leads to spoilage, so to speak.
Great point!

Since HP decided to kick our articles back to Discover, for some inexplicable reason, my Hubber score has plummeted. It is still kind of hanging in there on this account because I still have articles on niche sites, but on my other accounts it has dropped into the 60s. Prior to the move, it was in...

Hello thereI have an idea to further promote HP network sites in Google.Actually, Google is pushing up visual content, and also videos. What about enabling a Videos section for HubPages? I think it could be worked in this way:- enabling an option to upload a video for a written article- once...

I'm curious if anyone is receiving editing currently. I'm also curious if new articles are moving to existing niches. I see that some articles have been moved to Pethelpful, but what about the other niches? I have content I want to attempt to get on Delishably, so I've been waiting to see if the...

The focus of HP has turned to the niche sites. Editing services will only be used on hubs being considered for the several new niche domains for the foreseeable future. The niche topics chosen for the next year or so seem to be pets, tattoos, piercings, beauty, food, and beverage. If we don't write...

I just saw an announcement from Christy Kirwan to say they're not going to be launching any more new sites. http://hubpages.com/community/forum/137 … ost2832990So that means if you've got Hubs that don't fit in one of the existing niche sites, they're not going anywhere.Sad for me as...
