How do you comment on someone's article? I have tried to comment on a few articles but couldn't find the place to do it.

I just had  the same conversation with the team. They told me that the site is going through a reorganization of some sort, so comment section has been disabled. They also said it is not permanent and will be fixed when the site renovation will be completed.

Hi Matt. Will we be notified if a comment is posted? If not, then it's not much use.

Also, why is the comment button at the start of the article? Surely, it would be more appropriate to place it at the end. I can't imagine many people commenting before they've read an article, or scrolling back up to find the comment button after they've read a piece.

There’s no comment button at the end but there’s a comment section that  appears at the end of the article, but it's really hard to find because it takes a long time to load. smile

I only checked Soapboxie and I found that if an article had comments before the function was killed comments are still disabled. Click on the comment button under the "Welcome to Soapboxie" video and all that happens is you are sent to pages of "Related articles" and masses of click bait. There is no comment capsule that I could find.

For articles with no pre-existing comments there is a capsule but it only appears after you've scrolled through the aforementioned "Related articles" and masses of click bait. Who is going to do that? My guess is almost no one.

You are right. The comment section is smushed between the article and related articles. It's very difficult to find. I just checked this article, "21 Reasons Why Ronald Reagan Was a Terrible President," and it has 100 comments. I can see the comment capsule on the article. Maybe check it from a different device, if possible. But then again, you are absolutely right that no one would like to scroll and find the comment section in this manner. It is very time-consuming. smile

      Stay blessed!!
