Letterpile and Delishebly allow it. Owlcation, perhaps? As far as I know, it is allowed. The only reason they need to go up to 800 words is to earn more. Is it true? Thanks.
I don't know about the current requirement, but this tutorial only has 775 words. Daily views peaked at 1700 organic at the end of 2019, but sadly now I get only about 150 per day, presumably because of a combination of the Owlcation site falling in rankings and loss of a featured snippet. In any case if everything can be said in less than 800 words, I don't see why Hubpages should be looking for more. However it may be because of Google looking for quantity over quality so we have to satisfy them. I can't add more words to this guide because it would lose its simplicity if I did.

Whether they accept it or not, why would you? Letterpile and Delishably accept poems, flash fiction, recipes, etc. They are very different sites than Owlcation, which is a site for in-depth, useful, educational content.
According to this article, articles 300-900 words get 21% less traffic and 75% fewer backlinks than "average" 900-1200 word articles.

I have always believed if a topic is worth writing about it should be easy to find 1500-2000 words.
Eric's right. In some ways, whether you can or can't is the wrong question to ask yourself, the more pertinent one is: why would you? It's better to aim for over 800 words.

It has been quite a few years since I've published any new content, and I noticed that we now have different websites that we can submit content too. How do I go about submitting work to Letterpile.com? Thank you so much for the help,Mike Hazelwood

I write on a variety of subjects in a variety of topics. Some of my articles are humor or satire. When it comes to submitting hubs to niche sites I am conflicted. Should I submit my totally silly article about getting better gas mileage to Axleaddict or Letterpile? Should I...

Hi there,It tells you that it didn't pass the Quality Assessment Process. Make sure you haven't copy and pasted from other sources. Everything on HubPages must be original. Spend time at the Learning Center (click Help, top right). Also, read articles by other people on the network sites in order...

It took two years, but I finally did it. But normally since so much editing and work is needed to get the articles up to standard, they are still added to the top spot of the Profile page so readers know you have moved a rewritten piece to a niche site. This one wasn't, and I was told that was...

Who continues to edit and write here and notices an uptick or more in views, CPM or revenue?

There’s a new network site in town, and its name is “HealthProAdvice.com.” And it may get a little crowded, because there are also two more new sites (branching off of the HealDove brand) in the works! If you want to get to know the newcomers, head on over to the official blog post →...
