Has anyone ever had to do this? I'm reporting a website hosted by them, but their support team seem to be pretty thick and keep thinking I'm reporting infringement of a product.

Are you filing a DMCA, Eugene?

I didn't mention DMCA. I just told them that content had been copied on a website they host and provided URL for my article and that of the copied content. Anyway I repeated myself in a reply email, but I'll use that keyword the next time if they still don't understand.

Sounds like you need to file a formal DMCA, Eugene.

I've filled a Google DMCA and got the content deindexed. I sent an email to Amazon, using the standard format, including personal details and the "good-faith" legal statement thingy at the end, but they replied with a link to their form that only covers brand infringement.

Wow. That's limiting to say the least! Why would they not consider copyright infringement? Judging from some of the product descriptions I read at Amazon (most of them, in fact), it's clear they hire $3/100 word content mill writers.

Thanks. I've used that before to report Amazon AWS articles. The copied article is on a website hosted by Amazon, rather than Amazon itself. I might give them a day or so to reply and see what happens (and maybe forward the email to that address too)

Just got the same reply back from them. Either they're stupid, or a computer is processing the emails.
