Hello everyone. So, what is the status on HubPages about writing an article to showcase a specific non profit organization? Is this something that will be allowed and is there anything that I should know when writing an article like this?

I will be working with a rep from the non profit to write my article.

Or is this type of article not something that HubPages will accept on the platform?

    Thanks in advance

    Mia smile

I think the same rules will apply as normal. It depends on the quality of the writing and how effectively the article conveys useful information to the general reader.

If you're using the word "showcase" as a euphemism for "advertise," then the article might be viewed dimly.

If you adopt a neutral tone and take an explanatory approach, pointing out criticisms as well as positives, you might have more success.

In short, if it's just something that's saying how great a product or service is, or it's just a list of things like services and contact details, then I just don't see it as going far, whether it's non-profit or not.

    Those are my thoughts.

    Hello Mia,
I agree with Paul I imagine that the non-profit you are supporting is involved in working with children with cancer. I can't imagine that anyone would object if that is the case - as long as the organization doesn't discriminate on moral or political grounds.
It goes without saying that te non-profit should be transparent and its books open to public scrutiny.
Good luck with it, I look forward to reading it.

Mia, I wrote an article that might answer your questions. It's about a breakfast ministry I run at my church. The program receives grants as a non-profit, but the article is not written to emphasize its non-profit status. It focuses on the specific purpose of the ministry, how it's carried out and who it serves. The article is pretty old, never made it to a niche site (although I haven't tried lately to submit it). The only issue is it doesn't get views very often. But it's good for sharing the link with potential volunteers or adding to a grant application package. Here's the link:
