This is a good question, Brenda. I am interested in the answer. No, I don't worry about it. Knowledge is important.

The notice in HubPages accounts states, "Revenue is accurate, but impression counting was broken from 11/2 to 11/9 on a few Network Sites". We have the correct impression data but have not updated that data in HubPages accounts. Your earnings data is accurate.

Are Amazon stats broken too? I haven't had any clicks since Nov 4th. Normally I get 10 to 150 per day. There still seem to be items ordered though.

Long before my closing my account twice so far -- I just gave up this whole thing about impressions and revenue. Even my love for satire wouldn't be inspired to comment. So I just write for my fun, not wondering anymore how the business of HP is conducted. The bottom line is: take it or leave it, no one is forcing us to stay. Earning enough for a coffee is better than having our stuff unfeatured. You want to have cyber friends? -- work for it. Oops! Wasn't that the satirist in me opening his big mouth!

    ^^ Same here.

Obsessing about traffic and SEO and impressions and blah de blah makes my head hurt.

I have always treated this site as a hobby. I write my stuff, I post my stuff. If it takes off and gets a bunch of views, hey, that's great. If not, I write something else and try again. If I get some beer money out of it every couple of months, woohoo.

It's not the most profitable way to use this site, but it's way less stressful.

Currently my views/revenues absolutely suck, but I have more important things going on in the real world so I can't lie awake worrying about it.

Views, impressions, CPM, and all those parameters serm to be quite complicated and must have their explanations but I also feel that there is no use to worry about them.
For me also it is a hobby to publish here.

I used to do a really good impression of the actor Michael Caine. But, I gather just about everybody else can.
