These are utter nonsense, from the quackery and pseudoscience stable, spotted in the "Recommended for you" section of an article on Dengarden.
Should we be reporting them? I wonder does Google downrank sites for nonsense ads?
Eugene, these ads are all over the Internet, not just HP. Quora is loaded with them.
Maybe they're just supposed to be unbelievable cartoons for entertainment.
It's certainly true that this garbage is all over the place. I wonder if there's a commercial argument to be made for sites that don't accept this crap?
There's a certain irony that the advertisers have the power to say what can and can't be written about and effectively ban some many fairly innocuous topics. While the advertisers themselves can post all sorts of crap.
The inline ads are usually OK and for reputable companies' services or products. It's those that are in the "Recommended for You" section that are often absolute drivel.
Best not to get too carried away with the bizarre ads, they're aimed at your average Jack and Jill and are created by frustrated psychologists whose mantra is Repeat Crap Crap Repeat Ad Nauseum. Reflection of the crazed world we inhabit.

I remember the early, idealistic days of the world wide web when access to the internet was going to expand our minds and spell a giant leap forward for mankind.
Instead, it's just demonstrated the limitations of our monkey brains.
As a blog owner who uses Adsense it's a constant battle to remove ads from scam companies, as well as inappropriate content. Google doesn't seem to care at all, as long as they get paid.

Does anyone else filter out the low paying "junky" advertisers on Adsense with KeywordSpy.com? I started doing it and it has helped a lot on some of the other sites that I write for and on other forums it is recommended. Any thoughts?
