I've managed to create several GA4 properties. Is there any way of deleting them? GA says they're linked

I think some of the GA4 properties were auto-created previously. Also neither of the GA4 properties show that they're complete.  Are we supposed to mark items 0 to 7 as complete?

Yes, Eugene, you're supposed to mark each of the seven steps as complete once you complete the first one. Click on the message at the top of the screen that says something about the setup being incomplete. It'll tell you what to do from there.

I did that yesterday and the property now seems to be producing data. Did you know we don't get behavior reports anymore which showed view trends per article over a period? We have to create that report somehow. I'm still trying to work it out.

I don’t know if I have set the GA4 right. I wonder how I can check it. At the moment, I am confused.

I managed to "disconnect properties", now they're scheduled for deletion. So then I created a new property from scratch. Can "collect website and app data" be marked as complete?

There's some information here about deleting the auto-generated GA4 properties which were created in March, if you didn't opt out. I think that's where my second one came from in addition to the one generated as per Matt's instructions.

The Real Time report is crappy too compare to the current one.

    Hello,

I am having a hard time setting up GA4. I followed Matt's instructions about a week ago, then I got stuck with the tagging instructions.

Google Analytics says, "Data collection isn’t active for your website. If you installed tags more than 48 hours ago, make sure they are set up correctly."

I can't quite grasp the "tagging" part of this process.
