What a beautiful poem and article, Chitrangada. I love the photos, and yes it is wonderful to catch the “Dawn chorus.” We can learn so much from birds.
Thank you for sharing this, Peggy.

Hi, Chitra. I read your poem previously also. Today, I went through this link and enjoyed it again. It is so beautifully written. And, the birds are charming. I miss them for long. It must have been in the year 2012 that I last saw them. Never again. I don't know why they are never visible again.

Thank you, Peggy, for sharing this link.

Thank you Venkatachari ji, for reading my poem again and also giving your positive comments.
There is a lot of greenery in my area and therefore the presence of birds, butterflies and other creatures here.
      Appreciate your comments.

But, those goraiyas (Old World sparrows) are not present here either in Hyderabad or Bangalore for years. We have thousands of pigeons here. And, there are some cuckoos and other birds on our trees.

That's sad that you don't get to see the Goraiyas. Yes, I hear some others saying the same about their cities. Fortunately, we have it in our area and many other types of birds.
