I just checked an article on my phone and only half the ads seem to be served, with blank spaces and the really confusing "Content continues below" above the spaces.
Is this because advertising systems have reduced the number of ads served during automatic bidding?
I certainly can't answer your question, but I'd like to know wth is allowing BIG popup ads right in the middle of articles. That I do not appreciate. I would have clicked out of the article if I had not been reading the article at the request of the writer, a friend of mine.
Presumably the HTML is coded to produce space holders every so many paragraphs, but they just aren't being served with ads when the pages are run on a browser. And it must cost Hubpages too much to outsource editing of the code, which is probably why changing "Content continues below" to "Advertisment" hasn't been done on all sites. I mean it's just a piece of text that needs to be changed, but if it has to be outsourced? Maybe switching back to the original site layout and regaining control of the code is one of the reasons for moving stuff back to Discover.

Is this an implementation of a solution to the request I made for something to be put in place to avoid the confusion for readers when they're confronted by whitespace?

I am horrified to find so many blank spaces amid my recently published article's Text Capsules. What is going on HP?

I am SO DISAPPOINTED that most of my high-hitting articles have been decimated after years of perfecting their structure. There are literally 3" white spaces in all my articles that have been edited after the HP 'takeover.' This is confusing to the reader, is completely unnecessary, and...

Hi. Does anyone know how to get rid of white spaces when using a tablet. Thanks

I had a hub on nude beaches back in the day, and I eventually took it down because Google absolutely would NOT show an ad on there. (Against TOS) Anyhow, where there WOULD have been an ad, there was a blank space. Occasionally I'll find other hubs that have those same google-wont-put-an-ad-here...
