I am horrified to find so many blank spaces amid my recently published article's Text Capsules. What is going on HP?
Do you mean where the ads should be? Ads can take a minute to load so readers probably aren't seeing them.
Ads are there already. But blank spaces are also there, within each capsule though they put ads in it already.
I see some blank lines in text capsules in the last article, but isn't that the normal spacing after a carriage return and new paragraph? Did you not add these lines?
I am not refering to these normal paragraph breaks. I am complaining only about the dark blank spaces other than these normal gaps.
Ok, I can't see those. Which article are they on?
There are blank white spaces above and below some ads, but that's because the ad container seems to be a fixed size rectangle and if the aspect ratio of an ad is different to that of the container, blank spaces are left. The lack of alignment annoys me more. It seems ads are centre-justified and spread out wider than the paragraph sometimes rather than autosizing.
I noticed this on mine too, I think it is where the ads will go.
I have to agree with you in that I have noticed the same issue with some of my stories, poems, etc., despite the fact that many of these were originally published some time ago.
I read your excellent article, Venkatachari. Yes, unfortunately, it was littered with ads and white spaces as has become the norm with our articles recently.
It is frustrating, but there seems nothing we can do.
Thank you, John, for reading my article. I am undergoing some heart fluctuations nowadays. Unable to understand it all. It may be due to my new medicines also. I am monitoring my BP daily. And, am in touch with Copilot with my questions. After 10 days, I may visit my Doctor again with my problems and the doubts.
HP don't really care about our opinion, to them it's all just about: "Keep writing more, more, and more, so we can advertise more and more, to make money more and more, and pay you less and less". If that were not so, by now, we would have gotten from them some satisfactory and acceptable explanation for making our posts look so crazily disorganized.
As for me, I stopped wondering, it's what it is, we don't own the site, so we don't decide. Take it or leave it -- period.
The one you referred to just in the above clip.
Okay, I see only four ads in the middle of my article excluding the top one and the side ones. Are you seeing more ads?
This reply was intended to be posted in reply to Eugbug, but got misplaced here.
On desktop, I see seven inline ads, plus the header banner and footer ad and the one in the right sidebar.
That means that the author will not be viewing all the ads. I see only four inline ads and five blank spaces.

I am SO DISAPPOINTED that most of my high-hitting articles have been decimated after years of perfecting their structure. There are literally 3" white spaces in all my articles that have been edited after the HP 'takeover.' This is confusing to the reader, is completely unnecessary, and...

I just checked an article on my phone and only half the ads seem to be served, with blank spaces and the really confusing "Content continues below" above the spaces. Is this because advertising systems have reduced the number of ads served during automatic bidding?

I had a hub on nude beaches back in the day, and I eventually took it down because Google absolutely would NOT show an ad on there. (Against TOS) Anyhow, where there WOULD have been an ad, there was a blank space. Occasionally I'll find other hubs that have those same google-wont-put-an-ad-here...

I have in mind an article that is a serious criticism and warning of a certain well-known online site because they do things that are egregious violations of privacy.I would prefer totally un-related ads on that article. In my corporate greed series, Google picked up on the keywords and...

But the main problem is that both of those articles are not showing either of the hubpages ad program or adsense ads. I have counter checked the hubs and ads are ON for both the hubs. Can you guys tell...
