I recall wen I was younger watchin lil house on that damn Prairie and jeeez that Laura Ingles always made me cry, my Dad always said I was a big girlie boy but twas sad.
These days what dramas make a lil tear drip down yer cheek, for me tis the end of a Cold Case episode, they catch who done it, the sad music kicks in as the murderer is marched out in handcuffs and then ya see that flashback to the victim smilin and their Mom or Boyfriend all happy, yeah Cold Case deff brings out my girlie side !
And here I thought this thread was going to be about soap... I try not to get it in my eyes.
..........still thinking about the shows. I laugh till the tears come when watching Wilie Coyote fail. Does that count?
I know it is not a soapie but series... it is called Brothers something...Band Of Brothers I think. War is really sad.
Thank you Poet, jeez that Ivorwen and Maddie just have no feelings at all, I guess I am just a big softie
Don't worry honey poo you and me will cry together, I am the biggest softy there is......can you pass the popcorn TG....
Oh yes. Bold and the Beautiful...now that REALLY made me cry... and even pull out a hair or two...! How could anything sooo bad be so popular!!
Oh heck yes, as well as admiring all the nice clothes.
...have to admit we can be that shallow too...yep, guilty!
Soap on a rope....soap shows don't bring a tear to my eyes because I'm a man and we never cry, except when king kong got shot off the empire state building at the end I was in floods of tears....
so in answer to your question no soaps bring tears to my eyes except soap on a rope when someone swings the soap at an angle of 47 degrees, hurts like hell!
Star Trek Voyager. Every time Catherine brings the ship around and you see planet rise, then she punches it..........
Brings a tear to my eye every time. I'm just a big softy.
Oh Mark is a softy too can you believe it? Ok TG we now have you me, Mark and MOW on the couch with a box of tissues. Hope you have that popcorn popping.
he's gone to have them all by himself....!!
And here we are on the verge of tears.........
Oh darn I think you are right MOW...we have been deserted. Here take the remote controls we will flick to Bold And The Beautiful while no-one is looking.
Oh no sprung..aghhhhh...Come and sit down TG The Little House On The Hill is about to start.
Yeah shes running down the hill and tis the music and her poor folks who are so poor, I so know I am gonna cry at this episode, damn Ingles !
I am already crying just thinking about it.I am sorry I slobbered on your shirt TG and dripped a little on your handbag MOW.
oh no! might have to watch sex and the city now....that hand bag had been an inspiration!
Hahaha oh yes do change the channel, I think that show is what we need right now. I have two inches of mascara in my eye and I can't see a thing from all this crying lol/
(((hey, TG is secretly cursing us....! *shudders)))
I'd rather watch the sex, because the city is the same as any other!
Oh yeah, forgot about that, I'll have to try some funky moves, better practice on inflatable Mavis!
Too late I accidentally stood on her with my heel....Can you hear that strange wind sound MOW?
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!! inflatable Maivis speak to me!!?
I love how you called it "Little House on that damn Prarie". Stupid prarie.
I don't watch daytime soaps anymore. I usually take my box of Puffs to watch Grey's & Private Practice. I've also been known to tear up watching an amazing lyrical performance on SYTYCD
Another thing..Do you know I really admire a man who cries. To me it does not show lack of strength but shows his incredible heart.
Jeeez even Knowles in tears, I am not alone, there is a God, oooops sorry Mark
sorry, that wasn't me chuckling.....ok. will behave and concentrate now....
Jeeez wat about Lily Rush, I am in love with her, will we ever meet in real life ?
Jeeez I have missed being on the Forums, tis good to be back, methinks the good old days can return !
Well except for Hull Football Club that is lol
no...but I will do when I move out of this town in a couple of years, just to remind me what a dump this town really is, some of my favourite shops have closed down, the smack heads own the streets and am totally fed up with Hull shite!
Seeing myself in a soap satire called "The Daze of the Week" brought tears to my eyes but only because the entire project was so dead on I wished I had written it and not just had a small part in it!
I grew up with laura ingils and as a small girl wanted to be her - cried every single time - could have been the bonnet that added to it.
btw glad your back in forums too xo
