Since all my niche articles were moved to Discover my Hub score has gone from 97 to 82. A precipitous decline that caused me recheck my calculations.

You may recall that some time ago I revealed how the Hub score is determined - a combination of the last four digits in your social insurance number, the circumference, in centimetres, of a randomly selected rutabaga, your shoe size, and the factor X, whose value is unknown to anyone. It seems I made a grievous error.

The mystery factor should be Y squared plus a small slice of key lime pie.

I apologise for any inconvenience caused.

The HP gods have repeatedly said hubber/hub scores don't mean diddly-durn. Now they really mean nothing other than the site is taking a tank dive and holding our heads under water!

Yes Shauna. The Hub score is meaningless, so that begs the question - Why is it there?
Another question. Why do I have hundreds of followers who are completely inactive?
Further, why can't I see this exchange or any other new ones on my feed?
Finally, where can I go to learn how to saddle and ride a moose?

Rupert, your—and all our—followers are inactive because they can't comment, is my guess.

According to Reddit, Alaska is the place to go for moose riding

Hahahah. Seems like you've actually identified the formula for hub scores. At long last I can understand why my ratings on profile and articles have tanked. Thankfully there is Key Lime Pie.

Even worse for me. I dropped from the 90s to the 60s. I think I ate too much key lime pie.

Mine crashed after my articles were moved from Exemplore. I consistently had hubs that scored 100 and 99. As soon as they landed on Discover, they dropped like stones and my hubberscore along with them.

I know it means nothing but it was always comforting to see it 'up there'.

My views are a shade under 12 million but I doubt if they will ever meet that milestone now.
