    Hi Folks
I have submitted this several times now and still keep getting emails regarding "spammy" references and/or why it is not able to be a Featured Hub - can someone please tell me specifically what I'm not doing correctly? I so appreciate it.

      Hi Audrey,

I suggest that you break up your large paragraphs into smaller ones - people read on their phones, and a wall of text can be off-putting and difficult to read.

The reference to 'spammy elements' is just part of the standard email but too many Amazon capsules may trigger it. Additionally, you must show that you have experience of those products and that they are essential to the topic of the article - in this case, they are probably not.

So, I would remove the Amazon capsules and perhaps add one back in later.

      Good luck.

Thanks for getting back to me - really appreciate it - in fact though the products are ones that we bought specifically for memory "boosting" as my husband has some early signs of dementia developing.  I will change them out I guess (the products) but then won't be able to say that I actually used them.  Will revamp and resubmit.

    Have a great week ahead.

There's a knack to using Amazon on HubPages. You have to discuss the item in the article. Show how it helped you. Basically, you have to do a sales job on it.

"I found this *whatever* to be a game-changer when it came to improving my memory. And it was fun too. I'm thrilled how my scores keep improving, day by day."

Place your enthusiastic review inside the Amazon Capsule. You can also mention it in the body of the article if you have more to say about it. Essentially, it has to form part of the article. Otherwise, it'll be tagged as 'spammy'.

And just stick to one capsule/product for now. Your reader only has to click through your link for you to get commission on whatever they buy. It doesn't have to be that actual item. The commission opportunity lasts for 24 hours.

And just for credibility, I used to earn around $300 per month on Amazon sales back when HubPages was a decent site to write for, so I do know what I'm talking about smile
