Who here publishes on Substack, Medium, or another place? Drop your details here. I will be glad to support you and follow you on another platform. Hubpages is going away, but I trust all of us here are still planning on being around for a while? smile It was nice while it lasted, but what can we do? The old ways and systems are breaking down. Nothing to do but to move on, adapt to the changes and keep pushing forward. I wish everyone good luck and hope to stay connected on whatever avenues continue to survive out there.

I discovered HubPages at a time in my life when I really needed a community, a creative outlet, and a way to earn a few dollars while sitting in a chair. So, as you say, it was good while it lasted. I have appreciated my time here. I can't say I've really kept up my writing, but maybe I will get back to it someday. Good luck to all.

I tried to post this as a separate forum, but for some reason, HubPages keeps removing the links and parts of my post. So I’m using this thread to share my message instead.

    To My Fellow HubPages Writers

With HubPages closing its doors soon, many of us are feeling that familiar mix of sadness, nostalgia, and “what comes next?” A lot of Hubbers have already moved to Medium, and many more are thinking about it now, so I wanted to share something personal.

Back in 2022, I started my own journey on Medium. I wasn’t alone.
John Hansen, Andrea Lawrence, Pamela Oglesby (RIP), and Linda Lum came with me, and together we launched The Hub Publication. I may have founded it, but it only became a true community because they trusted me and stood beside me. I’m deeply grateful to each of them for helping build something meaningful.

Since then, The Hub Publication has grown into a warm corner where former HubPages writers still gather, encourage each other, and keep that old community spirit alive. Today, The Hub Publication has grown into a beautiful space with over 1,500 writers and 6.9k followers

So if you’re planning to join Medium after HubPages shuts down. You’re warmly invited to write with us at The Hub Publication.
You can find our guidelines at the top of our homepage.

Wishing everyone a gentle transition. smile

Thanks Misbah, for the link and the info about the Hub Publication. It sounds like it's going well there, which is great to hear. Hope that continues to be the case and see you many new writers heading there as HP closes down. I'll plan on visiting there soon.

I`m following you on medium now.
Looks like I have an account on Medium but have yet to publish anything.
I `ve been reading others` writing from time to time, but the content appears to be of a different kind compared to Hubpages. Medium is more centered on personal experiences and opinions.

Thanks, we'll look for you there soon too.

I hear you, it's a little different on Medium, and I'm still trying to figure it out. It's kind of tough starting from zero again, as it takes time to build something on any of these platforms. Another reason it's such a shame Hubpages is ending. So many of us invested years of our time here.

I'm considering starting my own website or wordpress too. Good to have ownership and control over what you publish, instead of relying on these different platforms that may or may not work out in the long run. Thanks for the link, we'll make sure to follow you there soon.
