my GF recently broke up with me after the valentine's day celebration. I bought her some nice gift and decided to top it all up with this <shameless self-promotion snipped>. will you end the relationship if you are in her shoes?
I saw your link before it got snipped and I honestly doubt very much if that message on that site caused her to dump you.
I think maybe she got cold feet. The message was pretty heavy; you were coming on strong - maybe too strong for her.
If she was as much in love with you as you obviously are with her, she'd have been over the moon!
You look young, I assume she is too, and well...maybe she is not ready for a serious relationship yet.
Looks to me like you made her valentine about making money for yourself. Not very cool.
Your FIRST mistake?
It is unfortunate that scientists of our time and those of the past have not been able to invent a device that will help people measure the amount of love that is channeled towards them, or to measure how much someone loves them.
What the hell were you thinking?
And this is suppose to be a Valentine's Day GIFT?
You are kidding right? Please do tell me you are kidding?
that was just an additional gift. i already bought her some expensive gifts
What things you buy is irrelevant? The value isn't the point. And the fact that you think it matters is one of your many problems.
Why in the world would you begin a Valentine's Day GIFT for your gf....without mention HER?
Your opening was exactly what killed your relationship. It shows coldly that you don't value her and you have NO appreciation for her.
That's what I get from it.
but i have her name in the url and the tag line. i even mentioned her name in the write up
Dude you are so missing the point.
You wrote a blog boasting your skills as an advertiser to show you love her ??
I don't know what to say about girls who can't even look at things with broad mind. Thinking about where things went wrong and how can you make it right will only suck time and i'm not sure how to proceed in such times. Let's hope you find someone from forum to help you with that.
Anyway,if it's over then get over it,there is still life beyond adsense and girlfriend.
I don't know. I think the relationship was in trouble before - if that ended it. It's not that horrible!
Whenever my husband is at a loss for a gift for me, I get socks. And I think it's cute - because that's who he is. And warm feet are important.
If a gift matters alot...
Your brilliant Nelle and your husband is a lucky man. Warm feet are important. As you say, if its all about what kind of gift then .........

you are right Nelle. A friend of her's confinded in me that she broke up with me because her other BFs saw the blog post. Though i have not confirmed this.
Birds of a feather, while flocking together, will not always fly wingtip to wingtip.
If my love had web skills and wanted to create a page for me, I would want that page to feature things that were important to us and to me: photos of good times together, favourite songs, my preferred colours. I couldn't care less if the world saw it, but I would want to see a very personal touch.
Fluffy, warm socks are wonderful. For me, fluffy warm socks with Tigger, Eeyore, cats or owls on them, especially if purple, are even more wonderful...
it is unfortunate that the admin. of hubpages think i am self promoting my self by posting the link to the blog post i was refering to.
