Do you call the vast waters an Ocean or a Sea?
The difference between Ocean and Sea is only the size of the body of water in which you refer to.If it's a certain amount or distance, then it's a sea. Anything larger would be an Ocean. A vast body of water would be classified as an Ocean.
An ocean is a large body of salt water, and it can be made up of several seas, so I guess it is about hierarchy.
vast means large open spaces, so...ocean

I have heard a body of water that was the size of an 'ocean' be referred to as the open sea...But I would call it an ocean!
