Please update me as to why the word “pee” is more socially acceptable than that of “piss”.
Women pee, Men piss. I guess it would depend on the company you keep whether one is more acceptable than the other.
For the same reason that darn is more appropriate than damn.
What about "urinate" and "number 1"?
...those do sound corny though, don't they?...
Is there even a nice word for it at all? ha
I believe it's pee pee and it just sound more relieving that 'gotta take a piss" I don't know why but maybe as a female I was raised with now Kimberly you go on and go pee pee and now at 43 I still laugh as I say hold on I have too pee pee
However he says pee not piss

It seems that on TV I hear the term "pissed off" used frequently but I can't recall hearing anyone mention "pee" on the electronic media. This causes much confusion, so in a social situation it's prudent to avoid both terms and just say "...gotta go drain the ole lizard, or similar."
Of course I'm joking...
Piss is generally accepted as a slang version of the word...the use of the work pisseth however is located in the bible! The word is most often used in association with anger or negativity ie pissed off, what a pisser etc!
"Piss" also sounds like a pissssed off sssnake hissssing.
'Course, maybe "pee" is just a shorter version of "peeved". Also more acceptable due to being a letter in the alphabet.
Somehow, though, "Gotta go piss like a racehorse" sounds a lot more satisfying than "pee like a girl".
Unless you're a female in need at the moment, though....
pee is used like the term 'making love' piss is used more like 'F***ing'
why they evolved that way or where the terms originate, I do not know.
Even doctors use the word pee. The other can be used as a derogatory. That's why.
Ummm, one is a Democrat and the other is a Republican?
this may be true...democrats are pee and republicans are piss.
Ooh...then what you are saying is that demos are pee and rep are piss.
I don't know where this fits in the equation but...I have heard rumor that George W enjoyed a golden shower now and then....No wonder he had Dick Cheney go to bathroom with him all the time??
Storm....you are a bad girl! Love it!!!
No answer? Hmmm......?
Just kidding Sophs. How are you today?
The word "piss" is so bad, it's difficult for me to type!
In NO circumstance is it appropriate. It is offensive to most.
"Pee," on the other hand, has become more acceptable, though still offensive to some (especially those with class in the 5th or higher decade of life).
There are so many more acceptable choices than either of these two, but if you MUST use one, use "pee."
Or one could say, "Tinkle" or "wee-wee." lol
Or as the Ladies say "Got to go to the Powder Room!"
But for men....it gets worse!
This reminds me of the restaurant review where a comment about the ambience mentioned that there was "a pianist tinkling in the background."
But, when youre really angry it just doesnt sound right to say "That really pee's me off!!"
It's pee for me.
Piss means beer where I come from, same colour!
Be verwy verwy careful that an Australian likes you before you accept the offer of a cold beer.
The foaming pee coloured drink may be piss, or it may be pee!
lol, I have heard so many parents say that to their little kids.
You my friend have a Toilet Bowl to oversee, I am surprised you have the time to post between reffing in that age old battle.
lol, I enjoyed writing the Toilet Bowl hub. I got the idea actually from a Thread that Mamelody started a while back.
It hasn't taken off yet, maybe it finally will.
I hope the twist I added with the "All-Stars" would lighten the, um, subject a bit. lol
It was great, I have even passed it on. Really had me rolling. Great choices of video, words the whole thing. Quite noteworthy, I was an instant fan.
Thanks. I have been told I have a weird sense of humor. lol

It is ok for African Americans to use it in context between their friends. They may be careful in using it in public around others they do not know (especially if someone feels uncomfortable hearing the word). Is it ok for white people to use the word.... never!

I have checked out most of the new style guides, but I am still confused about one thing. If we have closely related content that would be useful to our readers, AND we use appropriate anchor text links, how many times is it appropriate to our own articles within a single network site?I have some...

How personal can a hub get?Do you think that hubs should stay strictly to the facts or can you use your own personal opinions and circumstances?
