I seem to have a memory of something quite similar to Hubpages from 2000-2001.  The forums, hubs, fun, interaction. It even feels like I wrote my hubs before, but I know I haven't.  Maybe I'm just having a major deja vu moment. (?)

Anyway, I am interested in knowing how long Hubpages has been around.

Archive says 04/2001  Well at least the domain name has been around since then.

That may have been when the name was first registered, but the site didn't go live for a public beta until the late spring or early summer of 2006.

Taht's what I figured but my SEOBook toolbar on my browser has an archive date and I only took a glimpse.  Interesting...this is a screen shot from the WayBack Machine dated Aug. 06

It's an Internet archive that's been recording websites since there's been an Internet.  Just do a Google search for the term and you can put in any URL to see how the site has progressed over the years.

I joined and my first Hub was published on 7/31/06.  The site was still in beta.

ok, thanks.  maybe it was something similar back in 2000.  I can't remember much from those years.
