One of my hubs has disappeared from Google!

I wrote a hub called Mint Tea in Marrakech, which was really just a travel article about a trip I made there a few years ago.  It wasn't really getting much traffic but when typing 'mint tea marrakech' into Google search engine it was on page 1 or sometimes page 2. Now it has disappeared altogether, I have checked the first 50 pages. What can have happened? I would appreciate any opinions.

There's no knowing.  This just happens sometimes.  Try getting a few backlinks to the hub, and maybe adding a highly-relevant news feed or RSS so that Google sees it as "fresh" content.

Ok, thanks.  I just thought it was a bit weird, one day it was there, the next completely gone.  I would have thought it would have dropped more gradually.

Check www.scroogle.org whenever you are checking your search ranking positions.

yeah scroogle is really useful for taking an unbiased look at your SERP's, Google tries to be helpful sometimes, as do some other addons and proframs (Even Stumbleupon), which is helpful, but can distort how well you think you are doing!

I just got your hub on Google Page 1 by typing in Mint Tea in Marrakech, if that makes you feel any better! Third one down.

No, it isn't there, though there is one called Mint Tea in Morocco, which I didn't know about when I published it otherwise I would probably have called it something else. What do you have to do on Scroogle? I clicked on the link but it looked a bit complicated!

Not only no longer on page 1, but doesn't seem to be there at all. I have now checked about 600 web pages and no sign of it yet.

I can't find it indexed at all, this is pretty strange.

I cannot see any reason why Google would have de indexed it, but it doesn't seem to be there, anyone else see it?

if you want a real easy way to use scroogle,

    use this:

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3682

its an add-on that lets you add any search engines to your built in firefox search

    I have :
    scroogle
    ebay item id search
    hubpages
    site explorer
    google images
    youtube search
    etc.

built in to my browser one click away

Thanks for all the replies, I was thinking I might just give it a new title, do you think that will help?

Hi Polly, I sent you an email!

I don't the the title is the problem here, rather the lack of visability Google has of it, my first bit of advice would eb to create a back link or two.

It might also help to include your key phrase another couple of times in the text!

          Cheers

          Oli

I've just checked again and putting Mint Tea in Marrakech in Google search is still bringing up your hub on page 1, third one down.  Maybe I have magic Google! smile

Just had a thought - could it be because I am in the UK and you are in the UK?  Is Google returning a different search to me than they would to US hubbers?

I'm in the UK and I can't see it.

CMHypno, when you are on the search results page do me a favour and press CTRL + F5 three tiems, when the page reloads does it still show her ranking?
