Yeah, I've run into that issue from time to time on IE. I usually just go into a photo editing program and make a small change or rename the file and it usually works fine after that.
Internet Explorer has always done that to me.. It got so bad that I couldn't even work on a hub without everything disappearing. Finally, I switched to Firefox and all's good now.
