    - Being held in the arms of the man I love...our mouths saying things beyond words.
    - Watching my daughter sleep at night...knowing she's warm and safe and loved...
    - Discovering beauty in poor neglected places in the world...
And bringing even a moment of joy to someone else's life... smile

myownworld - Your post has served to deepen my look at favorite things - I am to be forgiven somewhat in that I was eating a coconut cookie at the time and relishing every bite big_smile

My eldest, precious daughter was diagnosed with advanced colon cancer shortly after her 26th birthday.  I have always loved to hear the sound of her voice since the first day she found it but, it has soared to the top of my list of favorite things.  Cancer free now her voice told me last weekend that she is expecting my first grandchild!  Wonderful news is another of my favorite things!

And it's wonderful what you wrote about your daughter... must be such a special moment to hear about your grandchild. Moments like those are beyond lists. Sending some warm smiles your way...

I'm actually sitting here trying to love the damned frog that has taken to croaking loudly and clearly every night in the garden, no doubt calling out to his loved one - or maybe just looking for one to love - while eating all the mosquitoes for miles around to his hearts content. Least I hope that is what is happening.

I guess one could be thankful that it is the frog that is croaking and not one's self big_smile

I love going to the beach when it's warm and windy, amusement park rides that go upside down, jogging when my knees don't hurt, the smell of coffee, graduating (I'd like to do that again), taking a nap when I'm really tired, and almost anything cooked with garlic.
