Sometime ago on this forum, people were commenting to a post about kontera and it's new payout limit and in that post some hubbers (many people on that post actually) were saying that they never approve kontera for their hubs as it minimizes their adsense earnings through space or whatever and I decided to give it a shot and suprisingly, I noticed some little increase in earnings (THOUGH I DON'T AND CAN NOT SAY WHY). So am asking those who are proponents of this debate to brief us if this is actually true and real. I don't know and I beleive some people will want/like to know)........... apologies for the post length
Kontera's mimimum payout is $50, and anything less rolls over. That wasn't the case when the service first debuted here.
I use Kontera and have had escalating AdSense earnings over the last few years, so if there's a problem, it's surely not effecting me or my Hubs. However, I have found you do need a LOT of pageviews to earn with Kontera.
That's cool, I waited so long to have this first reply and the reply was cool. But I personally don't think so many people are making it well with kontera, I don't know. Me, I don't think I can quickly remember my login details there unless I do some thorough searching and thinking. I just want to know if people are making it well over there as adsense but then if not, ???????? Thanks for replying though
Hi chigoiyke,
This is Jonathan from Kontera. First of all, if you're having problems remembering your Kontera password, I'd be happy to reset it and send the new one to your Yahoo account.
Regarding Adsense, here at Kontera we pride ourselves on being an additional revenue stream to Adsense. Because Kontera and Adsense ads are displayed in completely different sections of your webpage they're not competing for clicks, and a large number of Kontera publishers have already have had great success combining the two.
In fact, in terms of "banner blindness" the condition where many people have become so overexposed to traditional banner ads that they stop noticing them all together, there's a whole segment of site visitors who's clicks you would lose completely if you didn't also have Kontera on your site.
The creativity of our ad inventory, exclusive premium ads from such globally recognized brands as Volvo, Microsoft, Blackberry, Dominos, and L'Oreal also attract visitors who normally wouldn't click on more traditional ads. These eye catching, high CPC ads are only available through Kontera, and only add to your visitor's experience on your website.
I hope that answers your question, let me know if I can be of additional assistance

Nice to see an official from Kontera!
To the OP
Kontera doesn't compete in the same ad space as Google, if however someone clicks on Kontera, tehy will not be clicking on Adsense.
I earn much less on Kontera than Adsense, but I get much less clicks on Konters
Overall the earnings per click on Kontera are less than Adsense, recently hoewver I have received some pretty high value clicks on Kontera too ($0.30 per click) so maybe things are improving.
If you only have a few Hubs Kontera is probably not for you, however when you start increasing your Hubs portfolio Kontera might be a good way to earn a few extra dollars a week!
I ran an experiment with Kontera enabled and without and found that while it did not impact my Adsense earnings at all, I did get a better conversion with my eBay and Amazon links as it seems that removing the Kontera links led to visitors spending more time reading my hubs through to the end which in turn gave my other programs a boost. My best advice is to run your own tests and track your results, the proper course of action will quickly reveal itself for your individual situation.

Twice this week, I checked AdSense, and saw some nice earnings in the 30 to 50 cents range, due to ad clicks (I assume). Both times, these earnings disappeared when I checked back again a few hours later. I understand that earnings are not final until final, but the most recent case was...

I have noticed that upon removing Kontera from my hubs that my AdSense earnings went up. Kontera seemed pretty useless even when I was earning with it because the click were not really all that profitable. One AdSense click seems to be worth more than a Kontera click even when it's like one of the...

Hi folks. I use the AdSense direct implementation, rather than the HP earnings program on HubPages. Over the last couple of days I have noticed that the number of clicks and my earnings have increased very dramatically (5 to 10 times).Having reviewed my account on AdSense and looking at the Google...

What's up with all the One Penny Google AdSense Earnings?Lately, all I am earning from Google AdSense is measly 1 cent clicks. Why is that? I used to get some decent revenues from Google AdSense clicks. HubPages Ad Program is my primary advertising mechanism, but I still used to...

Hello everyone!I'm having a little problem with my earnings here. I did everything right, following all the steps in the instructions about how to integrate my adsense account with the HubPages.Sometimes, in my earning's report, I see the hubpages appearing as it had a click, but it don't show it,...

I have about the same amount of traffic as I usually get at HubPages, but I've barely earned anything. Got 2 clicks worth 12 cents between the both of them and that's about it. Is there something else going on behind the scenes? Have any of you also been impacted in this manner? Thanks in advance!...
