Just had to come on and toot my own horn. Today is a month since I quit smoking.
I cant believe everything I noticed in the last 30 days.
things taste better
And so on and so on
Anyways like a said just wanted to toot my horn. From 2 packs a day to none.
Gotta love life
This is very great achievement in fact. I too had left smoking 15 years when i was 23 years old. I know well how tougher is it to quit smoking. I consider it as achievement. Great Dale!
saves a LOT of money not buying cigarettes I suppose?
Seriously though, that is a fabulous accomplishment.
We're very proud of you, Dale! Keep up the great work!
Congrats Dale!! Notice the fresh smells and the natural perfumed scent of nature yet? That's what I had missed the most and enjoyed almost first when I quit.
how exciting for you!! your wife must be thrilled. congrats!!
A great big thank you goes out to everyone. I have had a lot of support here and from my friends over at Facebook as well.
Cngratulations Dale! I almost fell off the wagon, but thought of you. I was far from home and a long drive ahead, no cell phone or internet to keep me sane. Driving was always a trigger for me. I thought of you and the forum posts, the hubs that you wrote. I thought of how long ago you planned you quit and the fact that I said I would quit too... You are not in this alone, really. Every time I think I might go back, I think of you and Lorlie, and the others here who have quit or are trying to quit too.
I didn't have any doubt you could do it.
Throughout the process - what happened that was unexpected?
Were there any surprises along the way?
Well done, will you be buying us all a beer with the money you have saved??

I quit smoking last January first, and it has stuck. I wrote a hub about it, but I just wanted everyone to know it is possible to just quit, and it wasn't that difficult.

Today I achieved another target - 50,000 page views on HubPages. I stumbled upon HubPages less than 10 months back and published 41 Hubs during this period. It had been a learning process all along and I am grateful to all Hubbers who interacted and inspired me. A word on this humble contribution...
