    Hey everyone,

Happy Saturday! One guess per participant for today's Daily Puzzle. Ready?

During a cold Siberian winter, you might find comfort with this rich soup that relies on a common winter vegetable; a sour variation relies on the pickled version of the same vegetable.

alexandriaruthk answered this correctly first: shchi

Congratulations. My ex was from that part of the world but this is not a dish I remember her ever mentioning.

I don't see any Hubs on it, but here is a Wikipedia article on it:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shchi

(The winter vegetable is cabbage and, in its pickled form, sauerkraut)
