Wow! Congratulations! You are my role model! Catherine
Thanks Catherine. I don't know how long it will last there. I hope some traffic come in now.
D'oh! It's on page two now.
Wonder how many of my hubs show up on page one.. lol
I'm probably hitting different datacenter, I don't see it at all.
Oh! Is that so? I still see it on the first page.
Misha - is there any way to check different datacenters? I ask because I have a hub "How to generate Electricity" that is in the top 5 on page 1 of Google and Yahoo and has been for months, but still only nets about 30 hits a day. I suspect the Middle East gets a very distorted version of the internet, because of the state censorship & caching.
Sun - page 1 in 4 hour is impressive!
Paraglider,
Yes, there are ways. I know some SEO applications do this - but I never used this myself, so I can't steer you in the right direction.
I think though this will not help in your case - datacenters get synchronized within hours or at worst days. I think this is just how many people are searching for this particular keyword...
SunSeven,
Now I see you on the first place! Impressive!
Congrats Sun! It's on Canada's First page, first entry here!
It was number one when I just checked (in Qatar). Good going!
One of my Page is in 5th search in Very first page..
http://www.google.co.in/search?hl=en&am … &meta=
Another one is 8th search in First page..
http://www.google.co.in/search?hl=en&am … &meta=
I see it as number one here in Australia: http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&a … &meta=
@ Paraglider - and anyone else who wants to easily see google search results from other countries:
There's an experimental addon for Firefox called Google global, available at
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5977
This allows you to right click in a page of google results, and switch to the google database of another country to see their results.
I've been using this for a few weeks, and it works well.
Cheers,
Eric G.
Great tip Eric, I'm going to give that one a try. I have a site that's number 1 or 2 on Google in the UK, but it would be good to know where it comes for people searching in other countries.
I have a great idea and way for anyone to get on Google 1st page! its purely fun..but works!!
Go to Google search home page..
click on preferences..
Now you can change the number of Results..Google's default is 10 results on first page..Set to 100 ...Done;) your on the first page..
I don't think it's hard to get your hub on Google first page at all, especially when you are searching for 3-word keywords (just make sure they are in your tags).

For example if I got a backlink from a webpage called lets say www .computers. com/cpuforumIf the pagerank of the domain (www .computers. com) was lets say 5 but the page rank of the sub-domain (www .computers. com/cpuforum) is 0. Will search engines recognize my backlink as a pagerank 5 or...

My new blog was pagerank 0 yesterday, and my firefox add-on is telling me it's PR 4 today. How does it vary so fast? Could it just be a mistake?
