This is probably an easy question, but I'm trying to figure out how to use the tracker url feature. I have made a new tracker ID and I would like to make a link to the HubPages home page so I can refer people to it.
Can you tell me how to arrange the link for this? Also, if I refer people to the homepage and they sign up to write hubs do I get credit for that?
Go to My Account > URL Trackers and grab your code. To create a link to allow people to sign up through you so that you get credit, try this:
Make sure you use the underscore before your tracker code.
That will take them to a signup page, and since you have used your tracker code, you will get credit.

Ok I think I got it. So basically it is the regular Hub Pages url then an underscore, then the tracker ID.
You can see an example by clicking "link to this page" at the buttom of your profile page.
It is, but you do need to make sure you're using your actual tracker ID.

Do referral trackers work with shortened urls (twitter, tinyurl, etc)?In other words if I create a long link with a referral tracker in it, then get a shortened link for that, will the referral count?

Why are there so many broken links on Hubpages images from garbled urls?I have had to fix numerous "broken links" from image links that start with http://ttp:// or something similar. It seems like the system messed them up, and wonder if anyone knows why.

In the old profile bio you could add a referral link. In the new profile, you cannot add hyperlinks in your bio. Is there a way to add a referral link to your profile? Am I missing it?

Trying to see if I understand this correctly. The trackers only work from outside of HP, correct? So if I have a new affiliate tracker on my profile page or in a hub, it's worthless to me, right? And if I link from one of my hubs to someone else's via a traffic tracker, again, it does me no good,...
