I need more info on referral trackers please?
I am not understanding the simple directions, please help if you have the patience to do so..the instruction on referral tracker page says
"Paste the URL or HTML from below into your website, blog, email, comment, or hub:"..seems simple but WHERE do I paste it in my hub? Do I put it in a links capsule? In the body of my text? I hope someone can answer this question for me, I don't know why I can't grasp the concept
If you want your link within the hub, paste it as a link. When you edit your text, there is one button on the top. Just select some text like 'Join Hub pages' and then click on the button. You'll get one window, paste your referral link on that window. Thats' it. Hope it solved your doubt.
Thank-you very much for answering this question. I still haven't been able to put the hubpages signup link in my profile, but I have been able to put it in my individual hubs. I am not that computer savvy, so I really appreciate your answer.
nitn nailed it! It's betten to link with text in my opinion, that way you don't have the long, full length link. It is a little distracting to have a full length link withing your writing, but if you put related text it allows the reader to continue reading normally, but click on the link if they are interested in that topic.
You can use the referral tracker link on your Hubs and Profile by adding it as a link.
Maybe say something like "you can sign up for HubPages" and make a link out of 'HubPages', using the referral tracker link that you have made.
See http://hubpages.com/hub/How-do-I-add-a- … o-Hubpages for more info.
But where do you get the referral link in the first place?
Try looking at this hub I am sure that you will find all you need to know.

I have read everything I can, mostly through HP, about referral trackers and how to set them up but I still am struggling with this. Is there a "Referral Tracker for Dummies". I have no previous knowledge of this and I would love a step by step instruction guide. A lot of the instructions...

Like referrals.1. Why insert an _referralcode into the URL. Couldn't you come up with a dynamic insertion solution? If an insertion was required, what's wrong with appending it at the end of the URL as in ?referrer=xyz? or would that make it too easy for hubbers?2. Why do pages like the Referrals...

I have not learned what referral trackers are for? Can someone please point me to a forum post that talks about this? Or if there is no historical post about this can someone tell me what this is and how does it benefit a hubber? I am asked to create one but I don't know how to do that and what to...

Trying to see if I understand this correctly. The trackers only work from outside of HP, correct? So if I have a new affiliate tracker on my profile page or in a hub, it's worthless to me, right? And if I link from one of my hubs to someone else's via a traffic tracker, again, it does me no good,...

It used to be, as I learned and understood it over a couple of years ago, that referral trackers had two uses. One was for when you convince someone to become a hubber. When you email them the link to use to sign up, you include your referral tracker at its correct place in the link, and if the...
