I have a bunch of travel hubs I'm trying to get included in Hubtrail. The relevant tags need to be in the top 15 or they're not included. But I can find absolutely no way to order my tags. I tried deleting all tags except the relevant ones and then re-inputting the other ones, but they all went back to the same order. They're not alphabetical--in fact, the order doesn't seem to make any sense to me.

Does anyone know how we can choose which tags are included in the HP RSS (the top 15) besides just limiting hubs to 15 tags?

Sorry, Irohner, but limiting to 15 is the method I use.  I've not figured out to order them, either.

Limiting to 15 is best advice. This way it is guaranteed to make the feed. wink big_smile

I know how you feel - the tags were also driving me nuts for months.

As misha said the tags are ordered in popularity so there's no way to order them how you want. To guarantee a particular tag is included you don't want anymore than 15, but what I've found is that if you leave the tags for a few weeks and then go and add a few more they usually get added to the tag pages (or a new tag page is created).

Lisa, I have no idea about hubtrail but to the best of my knowledge the tags are sorted in the order of popularity.

Irohner I am happy that you have decided to participate in the Hubtrail Project. I wish that I could answer your question about the tags. sadly I can not. I just limit the tags on my Hubtrail Hubs to 15 and then I do not have the problem.

theres no rhyme or reason to the tag errors, its apparently a low priority bug.

I also have not experienced it ..but many are quite vocal about it. We examined and experimented quite a bit during the 60dc to no valid conclusions.

I never would have noticed it (or cared) if it weren't for the Hubtrail thingee requiring certain tags to be in the HP RSS feed--ergo, in the first 15 tags. So now I have to figure where the tradeoff is.

Sigh.... Off to Analytics to see what tags to ditch I guess.
