I have a hub on Gospel Music and the related hubs are about viagra, bikinis and sexy walpapers that I do not approve of. They have nothing to do with my hub title or content. Infact it don't even have anything to do with anything I write.
What can I do about this? If readers want to see that stuff they know where to find it, it should not be inbedded in other topics that don't relate to it.
I tried changing tags and titles, but it hasn't changed the related hubs. PLEASE  help!!!!!!!!! :mad

I can understand.  About half of my hubs are religious themed, but with the last name Lopez,  when you go to my profile all of the ads are about JLo's butt or sexy pictures of her.  Anybody else have any ideas?

You could write to her and ask her to change her name big_smile

That's right, she's interfering with my impending internet fame.  She might change it back, though, one day to ride MY coattails.

You might try adding a little more text to your profile description.  That will give the google's contextual engine a little more information to go on.

Ooh, I see what you mean.  Look on the bright side though - the Related Hubs won't appeal to the people who like your Hub, so they won't be tempted away from it.

I still get confused sometimes - I want to read more Hubs by that Hubber, and I click on the Related Hubs instead of the "more by" button (which is, you must admit, not all that obvious - but you'd think I'd have learned by now!).    By the time I've got sidetracked looking at other Hubs, I may not ever get back to that original Hubber.

So you see, if there are other readers like me, it could actually be a good thing to have Unrelated Related Hubs!

I know that creating groups help to display other articles by the same author, but I think that option is too far down on the page.I think It should somehow show up right after the article. And then of course, the author has to have chosen that option.

If you want to view more by that author, you can click on that option and then select the tag you're interested in, but only 3 tags show and sometimes they are not the topic you are looking for. If there was some way to do display more tags or something, that'd be great.

One of the other forum threads mentions adding a floating bar - or something like that - but I do think that would be good and these are some of the additional features that could be added to it.

The related hubs are based primarily on the tags.  Since we don't have much in the gospel area, it's picking up matches from the entertainment and music tags.  If you can locate some better matching hubs on HubPages, you could try adding some tags that appear on them to your hub (unfortunately they won't update instantly, it may take a day or two).

If you notice that some of the matching hubs aren't accurately tagged, you can flag them as "deceptively tagged or titled" and we'll look into it.

    LOL

I had the same problem with Beyonce Knowles when I first started, but as I got more hubs and tagged them well, it went away big_smile

Yes, but this is not really a problem on my hubs, rather on my profile page.  I'm not sure about "LOL", maybe a little grin.

Beyonce...funny.  I see the family resemblance.

I didn't realise that hooking up for a date with Lopez and Knowles would turn out to be this easy wink

You people, Peter and Lopez are very kind. You don't want to disappoint millions who come looking for drooly stuff. big_smile

Singing Mommy, if you sacrifice your 'entertainment' tag, you won't get those related hubs. You, too, must be a kind soul like those nice gentlemen. big_smile

Well, with a last name "Hicks" I am really glad that I don't have denture ads, or what-have-you.  :-)  Actually, although my profile doesn't reveal it, I suffer from diabetes and I've written a few Hubs about the topic.  So, now I have ads related to diabetes on my profile page.  It didn't take long.  I've only published 9 hubs, two of which are on diabetes.

    Hey Peter,

I just checked out your profile page, and no sign of J-Lo.  Looks like you have appropriate ads related to your recent Hubs.  Someone must have tipped off Marc Anthony....
