Im trying to finish up some missing details on the 60Dc outline and I wanted to add some links to 60dcers who wrote final thoughts style hubs or something similar.
Can you help me out and post a few links for me? Ive found Edweirdos and englightened souls so far.
How many of you noticed whether the only stated goal worked out?
Visits from 10 unique sources? Is the incoming links metrics maxed out on all the 60dc hubs compared to your previous hubs?
I'll write something up - but I don't know when Going on hols soon and have a tonne of work to do. If you don't want to wait for a hub I can email the info to you.
I haven't seen any final thoughts type hubs.....
Your amazon success hub works for my purposes, I wasnt expecting any directly 60dc referenced hubs once the challenge was over.
I was just looking through the outline and teh last section is our "halfway there" hubs from frogdropping , I figured a natural ending should be after the 60dc stories.
Have a happy holiday!
Ok that's cool - very much looking forward to my holiday! It's a bit of a bummer I can't do this second challenge I would love to, but it's always a struggle for me to get much done in the school holidays. Maybe I could find a way to participate even if it's in some small way? I don't want to get left out of the loop.
My stats:
All hubs have more than 10 traffic sources.
About 80% have incoming links maxed out. The rest are mainly at 4 stars and 1 hub has 1 star (lol, don't know what happened with that one!)
I learnt tonnes about promotion, which has been the most valuable part of it for me.
Amazon earnings went way over my target of increasing them by 100% - they went up to 350%!
Adsense did not reach my target of 100% increase, but did reach a healthy 50% increase.
My traffic has gone up overall by about 80%.
As an aside - recently market samurai were offering a 90 day free trial if you sign up for their challenge. I've signed up but won't be doing the challenge - just using the software! It's just useful having it for that long without having to pay, so maybe other challengers might want to look into it. I'm hoping the offer hasn't expired and those that want to can use it.
For one, I wanted to learn new ways to increase my online revenue and that goal was accomplished. My ad sense doubled the first month and I have made payout every month since (2 months and going strong)
I also wanted to develop my understanding of promoting my writing and therefore generate online traffic. Again this was accomplished, from learning about RSS feeds - to blogging (feel so much more comfortable blogging now)
Backlinking also has taken me to new places:) and I actually have seen my my Organic traffic grow in leaps and bounds as it now accounts for approx 75 per cent of my traffic, I must say this was incredibly exciting to watch.
And most of my 60dc hubs have at least 3 stars for incoming links, there are at least 10 with 5 stars, this is huge considering before the challenge maybe I had one hub with 2 or three stars.
All in all my goals have been met but I am ready to do it again, learn some more and hone the tips and skills I learned in Part 1.
Count me in for 60DC - THE RETURN, when's it start?!
Ahhh well, I can revisit my frog-log and give it a conclusion. I have seen a massive improvement, I have had some happy developments occur since I completed the 60DC and if you can give me a hour or two, I can sort it.
Or are you wanting a seperate hub altogether?
nah.. I dont think a unique hub is necessarily worth your time and effort (although I will link to it of course) - and the logs are already linked.
Just wanted to add a "look at them now" section to the outline
Looks like Ill be trying to get another challenge going in the next week or so after I make some forum fixes, complete a few hubs and give all the "pioneers" a free wordpress hosting account (yep)
im also trying to get a package together of free tools ..so I have some lofty goals, hopefully I can do it quickly, Ayla is an attention hog, so far.
Ive been getting lots of emails asking about doing another challenge and since the majority of the info is already published on my end, I figured might as well!
To all:
even w/o a hub , can you let me know these small things?
How many of you noticed whether the only stated goal worked out?
Visits from 10 unique sources? Is the incoming links metrics maxed out on all the 60dc hubs compared to your previous hubs?
Well ok, backlinks look far healthier, generally. As a rule, they're according to the type of hub, whether I've backlinked, how commercial it may or may not be, the topic (some hubs just do garner natural backlinks) and so on. So yes - 60DC hubs have a much healthier set of backlinks.
Visits from 10 unique sources - only one that I checked had 9 unique sources, the rest had at least 12.
Anything else? I am on with concluding my frog-log
Edit - I'm in for 60DC - The Return, when's it start?!
I achieved all my goals, infact over achieved some of them. The most important was the knowledge and I am all so excited about the the second challenge. I am assuming atleast a 300% improvement in my performance.
13 hubs have received visits from 10 unique sources(I havn't counted the 60dc blogs,Mark's personal blogs and your sites, otherwise the number is 23).
16 articles have 5 asterisks, 10 of them have 4 and rest of them 3.
All but two of my 60dc hubs had at least 10 unique sources. Not all of the hubs have 5 asterisks in fact just a few of them of them are maxxed out.
I did see an increase in traffic but it has been kind of leveling off now.
I was wondering if everyone completed their blogs because I do not have blog rolls for many of the challengers. I think the follow through dropped off at the end of the challenge.
I would like to participate again as it was highly motivating to me during the challenge. Thanks for everyone's hard work.
Just for my own personal reference (since I did not participate in this challenge because it came at a bad time for me) is the max on the metrics links 5 asterisks? And is that the same for earnings potential, time on site, etc?
On the Hp metric it does max at 5
As Im sure you know, each asterisk doesnt directly equate to a single backlink
Yes sir....I did know that, but thanks for clarifying it in case others did not.
Susana I guess they are offering the trial for 100 days or may be I was lucky. I still have 91 days and some hours before it expires. Will definitely make full use of it this time. I have even mentioned market samurai in my latest hub about best free SEO software for website promotion.
And your not participating?? You will definitely be missed!!
I prefer MicroNicheFinder as Market Samurai gives me a bit of a lag and I cant multi task - But that is an awesome offer! I think that offer is always available through Ed Dales 30dc - which has just started again I think.
I imagine no one would mind if a "pioneer" gave it a shot this second time around even if it was limited.. I know I wouldnt!
Your stat increase is awesome, I think you may have exceeded my own, and I was pretty happy w/ the results myself.
If your going on holiday, it must have been good
Yep, market samurai is slooooow! I thought it my laptop, but maybe not.
The 30dc challenge just started about a week back, so hopefully people can still sign up if they want.
Good to hear I can have some input in this new challenge
And I would love to know how the 60dc was for you!
Morning, Folks
A bit of a mixed bag, but generally good.
Half of my hubs are maxed out with incoming links, and they also have the ten sources. The rest tail along behind, some 4, some 3 and a couple at 1. The same story with the ten sources - about half of them!
I haven't hit my target of 1000 hits per day, but my traffic has doubled and is still rising.
Adsense is doubling every month and this month will be the first time that I earned enough for payout in a single month.
Amazon started to do well last month - $50 (I usually make about $5!). However, this month is very slow
I suspect that the difference in the Hub performances is because of where I directed my efforts - the home improvement Hubs are doing well, because I promoted the crap put of them.
The writing Hubs not so well, but I did the bare minimum on those due to time restrictions. I received a load of paid assignments during the promotion phase and did not have much time.
It is an ongoing process, however - I made a spreadsheet to keep track of links and I am following Kett's 10 links a day challenge, including rewrites on Squidoo and Oli's site.
On a side note, a couple of very good clients found me through the bedroom furniture Hubs I did for the challenge so that is an indirect but very welcome benefit
So Sunforged - are we getting the return of the 60DC on again? You can always try explaining to your little Princess that Daddy needs to work in order to keep her in the style to which she would rather become accustomed to
I am all the more excited...Just waiting for the announcement from Sunforged, which I am sure would come soon!!
Hi everyone, I did 23 pregnancy hubs, five hubs about entertainment and one travel hub, and two quotes hubs about pregnancy
my travel hub is the least visited among all
my five hubs about entertainment fairly do well in views but not conversion to actual clicks, as usual.
I have twenty three five maxed out links, then there are two four, three twos -- about diet and food unhealthy foods for pregnant women.
My two hubs about chemical safeness for skin treatment for pregnant women and tattoos for pregnant women plus entertainment hubs do well on outside search.
My views increased last June but is decreasing now (but earnings is fairly average, must be because it is summertime.
Earnings is constantly increasing every month but not much, I received monthly money from google last February.
my average word count is 1300 except for my quotes hubs (two about pregnant women) surprisingly a big hit outside HP, in terms of click.
I still need to learn more about amazon, I sold 11 items only this July, 15.35 commission, last June it is tripled because of my FIFA World Cup hubs which is not include in 60 days challenge
Thanks about RSS (SF and MK) and affiliate selling like Ms Susana hubs
I learned a lot from the vid of SF plus promotional techniques.
I would like to join again and maybe think about what to write based more on what is the chance in google and SEO.
Thanks to you SF and I know your enjoying Ayla so much
thanks Ms Susana, MK, FD, Ed, Shaz Natasha and Shari, I learned a lot from the challenge, Thank you very much everyone!
An amazing recap... . one to follow. But then again you never cease to amaze me
Way to go Pretty girl
I would love to do this also, but need guidance. If there is room for me let me know.
I am real pleased with the performance of my hubs. But since I was so new to this I really had nothing to compare it to.
I am not sure what "Is the incoming links metrics maxed out on all the 60dc hubs compared to your previous hubs?" means but I am getting some fairly good traffic. I really need to go back and recap my results from this challenge.
I too would love to do another challenge with you all as I learned a lot and I have not learned much more since the challenge ended.
Please count me in and I will report back here once I understand what "Is the incoming links metrics maxed out on all the 60dc hubs compared to your previous hubs?" means.
I have wrapped up my 60dc hub here: http://hubpages.com/hub/Make-Money-Onli … h-Hubpages
If it is not right I can alter it.

Now that the team building phase is complete, what types of questions are left unanswered that should be covered in the next team hub?Any ideas that we should include in our team effort?Any other Hub authors want to lend some off-site promotion to our effort?..im really excited, barely slept due to...

After 6 months on the site i've started the really wonder how many backlinks is a reasonable number to any hub, and really to a hub becoming successful? Or is it simply a lottery. What kind of figures do other hubbers consider?

Been here about a week ..wrote 4 hubs .. havent done any promotion type activities yet because im still learning about that .. and of course i've learned by observation, that when we first write a hub we get this hit of traffic .. like ive never seen before .. 80, 100 ,200 visits ..and im...

After reading a hub by Relache, I looked at the incoming links on some of my hubs. Most of them only have one incoming link, and the odd one has two or three but no more than that. I've backlinkined these hubs to the usual sites - xomba, shetold etc so where do the incoming links actually come...

I've taken down as many backlinks as I could quickly do myself. Some places like shetoldme make you ask for help - I've done it. I've deleted all RSS feeds from my own sites and I'll start going over individual posts and replacing HP links with affiliate links. I have so many sites, I may have...

IzzyM and I have been chatting about backlinking, and disagreeing on what's the best way to go about it. She's been spending hours backlinking her Hubs on social bookmarking and backlinking sites, because she feels that's been recommended on the forums by Hub gurus. I'm not at all sure that's...
