Hi, all, I havent left, Ive just left a relationship and am at present between homes. Ive had a few days to work life out and am feeling better about myself.
Please wish me luck and I will be back, happier and happier....
Im trying to decide if I should sit and settle where I am or travel a bit.. I havent much money to travel, yet I can work as I go etc... feeling a bit stuck, yet life will pick up.
I went to see someone at the womens house in the area I am staying and she said she didnt give a .... I needed to find out if there was any support, not even an offer of a pamphlet or other.. sometimes the workers are mean, like they want to teach you a lesson ... or maybe they really just dont care as long as they get their funding and their office and their job... ummmm
Any ideas???
Life is short, if you want to travel and you can make it happen then do it. It's much better to regret what you've done then to regret what you didn't do when you had the chance. There are ways to make it happen even if you don't have the money. You can get a job on a cruise ship, or an airline, or work as a crew member on a private ship or charter plane. These are just a couple of ideas I'm sure there are other ways to achieve your goals. Anyway, go for it! Keep a journal, write about your feelings and adventures, maybe one day that can become a book and a source of wealth and prosperity. Good luck!
do what you need to do.. I hope all will work out the best for you. life is a journey. sometimes it's harder than at other times. take care. you deserve happiness.
oh, you added more while I was writing. you are without a home? do you have any family or friends you can stay with?
not at the moment, Ive been staying at a backpacker house and doing the cleaning for my rent, which has been really lovely, its kept me going and motivated me... its also a lovely place with only one or 2 people staying.
I have the option of a caravan park for $250 per week, a more remote caravan park for $175, ... a camp site for $125 and a house that Im applying to rent for $200.
Last time I went to leave, my car was stolen with 80% of my clothes in it and alot of personal papers, my purse disappeared this time with a new copy of my drivers license in it so, I have to get another copy...
I havent redirected mail yet and could travel on to adelaide to spend sometime and work there for awhile so I dont get stuck here feeling sorry for myself.
Hey Salt, I don't really have any suggestions, but I didn't want to not post, with at least a "Hello".
So, Hello! It's great to see you again. And, I have faith in you that you will get it worked out.
thankyou, much appreciated ((())). I was trying to write an email to my brother to ask if I could stay at his farm, but we are not the closest of families and I feel I would be backing down from caring for myself..going from one aggressor to another for help.
if you had the thought to write to your brother, it may be for a reason. perhaps you could at least write him and let him know your situation and see what he says.
I know that sometimes we find ourselves in places we didn't imagine in our lives and we have to put ourselves in 'neutral' before we continue. it's ok not to know your next step, just be strong and trust your gut instinct. I wish you the best, will be thinking of you. {{hugs}}
Wow Salt...I don't know what to say. I hope you are safe! Peace and stay in touch here.
Being between homes is never a good feeling when it is happening. I've being in that position on several occasions, once when I divorced my husband, again when I moved to Texas, and again a few years ago when my condo was involved in a fire. Each of these journeys provided an opportunity for me to learn more about who I was, what I believed, and if I could survive. My desire to keep moving forward led me to the right people that could lend a hand to help me out of each situation.
The only suggestion that I have is to look for the opportunity when it presents itself. And if it is the right opportunity you will have peace with your decisions to keep moving forward without looking back.
thanks, Im getting there.. i felt a little fear today about something yet am ok and should be ok for the next week, then I will work out whats next.
Have rental applications, start looking for work and maybe move states if I want to.. am considering travelling on for awhile. Keep moving until Im ready to settle... so am making up my mind this week.
Whatever you decide to do salt, I just want to wish you good luck. Stay healthy and strong.
am doing ok, I have been confused which direction to go in and have slept in the car, which oddly enough has been very healing. Ive had time to myself, been able to organise my things and think and feel about what I want to do. And, and my hub pages views have gone UP!!!Yippee!!!
Hi Salt, it's great to hear from you. Just continue to take a day at a time, and if that seems too hard; then continue to hang on by that last thread and take it an hour, a minute, a breath at a time until you get through this.
Sorry, I can't stay and chat I've got to call it an evening. Take Care!
glad you are doing ok now aside from the home thing. Hope things continue to look up for you .. all the best
thankyou, ms pinkylee, much appreciated. I feel more myself than I have for awhile. I think things will improve in the longrun. I just have to make the effort. Ive felt stuck for the past few days, yet I know things will get better..Im getting stronger and less driven by emotion.
I think sometimes in life we have to take two steps backward in order to move forward and in these times is when we are tested the most. It seems as though you are moving forward and I wish you the best...Stay positive
Good luck Salt! Looks like you are entering one of the best periods in your life
Thinking of you, and know things will get better. It's hard to do anything in a practical way, don't even know where you are. Keep posting, let us know how you are doing. I hate to hear of people going through bad times. all the best you sound positive.
thanks joy, Im getting there.
Im doing ok thanks, Ive been living out of my car a fair bit. House hunting and for some reason, I was going to stay at a lovely caravan park for a week or 2 to get by whilst I house hunted, yet some instinct told me not to.. So, Ive been up early, swimming at the local pool and having my breakie and a shower. Then house hunting. Ive been a bit anxious, whether due to being a bit anxiety ridden or whether it is instinct to be conscious of, Id rather trust my instincts than test them right now... so Im doing ok - even writing a little and got my swim laps up as well.
thanks misha, I hope so, the past 5 years have been challenging,...
I always recommend traveling, but in some situations I think it is more advisable to find a little stability before you begin to explore your new freedoms.
swimming is great to relieve a bit of tension, and of course the shower is done for the day, which of course is great for you in your present situation. Keep improving your time, i must go swimming today, i would love to swim every day, but life gets in the way
