Why only English ?

I'm a native Hebrew speaker and there are hubpages I'd like to write in Hebrew.
However, Hubpages.com supports only English, and would not allow posts in other languages.
I understand that it may be harder to police posts in languages Hubpages administrators are not versed in, but couldn't this concern be addressed by peer reviews ?

Are there other reasons why only English submissions are accepted ?

Too many languages, too few resources.

I think you can write in Hebrew in www.shvoong.com if I am not mistaken. I know you can do different translations there . I did one into Russian from English.

English is the UN defined international language. Ask any airline pilot.

On top of policing the content it also causes issues with some advertisers.

You probably hit one reason already.
Although I am thinking there are several reasons, the main one I can think of is management of content, which by itself is probably one of the biggest concerns of any site. And money is always involved, especially the spending and making of money.
