To borrow money from strangers if circumstances require it.

Yes, but I would do it if circumstances required it.

yes, but if it is a matter of great importance, then I will try, people want to help as long as you genuinely need it

very true. It is human nature to help if it does not cause too much trouble  to them

Not if it's a question of not being able to afford to be embarassed.

Borrowing money is always embarrassing, unless they expect you to pay100% on top of your loan like a mortgage for example, then you should be embarrassed but for other reasons.

I've never been embarassed to borrow money, if I've had to.
But I'd find not being able to pay it back very embarassing indeed.

    NEVER borrow money from “strangers”.

They will want 2, 3, or 4x back.

Edit: even when “define circumstances” is in play.

I had to do it once. I was pretty drunk in college and ordered food.  It turned out my friend had NO money and i had to pay for both of us but I only had enough cash onme for a 75 cent tip.  i borrowed a dollar from someone smoking and gave it to the delivery dude so he wouldn't spit in my meal the next time he brought stuff over.

I ran upstairs and came back with a beer for the guy I bummed a dollar off of

I think only if the situation did apply to me... Honestly however, I think I would be a tad embarrassed

Too embarrassed that I would just do without it, just can't bring myself to do it.
