I ask this question here in that most of Hubberville’s population is pretty damn talented, experienced and as a community is familiar with just about every corner of the cyber universe.

I have so far discovered that mIRC is an Internet community venue to swap, share and download information in addition to chat modules.

And that Karaoke Realm is a channel on this network. Multiple searches have not provided much information, other than mIRC download links without much description, any assistance would be appreciated.

    Hey Ready,

I used mIRC about 10+ years ago, but haven't really bothered with it much. It was pretty cool and met a lot of interesting people to chat with.

I used to chat with some people I made friends with on Pogo.com. smile

    Thanks Cags

I just heard about it last night from an acquaintance that uses it to share & download Karaoke tracks, I thought this might be a good source,he says it is, but I’m not sure of the safety of the “script” they want you to download.

    You're welcome. The "script"?

It is no different than downloading files from something like Yahoo Messenger or any other chat software. smile

I used in the past and did not have any problems with it. You should still keep whatever protection you have for your computer in place and scan anything you download.

But, I see no problem with it and don't believe it to be hackable.

I used to use mIRC as a way to download stuff, however increased file sizes have made it an unreliable platform, tend to use torrents nowadays.
