I can write an article about almost anything but, when it comes to writing about myself, I'm lost for words. How did you come up with your profile?
I'm exactly the same, I dread doing things like CV writing!
I just let mine evolve over time.
It started real short. Then as things occurred to me over the weeks/months, I would just add to it. A sentence here, a paragraph there, etc.
After awhile, you will be trying to decide more what to remove than what to add.
Writing about yourself can be a hard task. When writing for your profile page try to write it as if you are writing about another person instead.
Make a list of what you want to share. Think in 3rd person and write about "That person" instead of thinking about yourself.
After you write the profile in the 3rd person, if you prefer for a more personal feel, you can go back Then and make changes.
I guess it's a little like selling yourself on a dating site and a resume and some cute things or sayings all in one
I can fully agree with you on this, but some hubbers have done a neat job of it, I have read a huge amount of information on a few profile pages, try reading a few you may come up with something.
I found them in the dictionary. Way cool depository of language information. ;D
I just thought of what I do related to what I wanted to do on HubPages, then I wrote it down.
My advice would be to be very modest. Don't push yourself forward too much
It was a pain, even now I wince. But it serves a purpose, so I just see myself as not me but a person to market.

I just updated my HubPages profile a couple days ago and in my profile linked to some of my favorite hub topics that I wrote about. Is this bad to do this since on the profile page we have those same hubs randomly come up below? I just don't want overkill but like the thought that I've got my...

I have a lot of hubs, and choosing which ones to place on the carousel is difficult, especially since it is in alphabetical order. Is there any way to include choices like groups or topics like the stats page has, so that it is easier to find the hubs once I decide what I want to feature?...

Hi I spent an hour researching online but no one seems to have the answer. On other sites I've been able to post my articles via URL on my Facebook FAN page with the picture, text popping up, but not HUB articles. No problem posting to my FB profile. But with my fan page it comes up with just...

I'm looking for examples of people who have really good profile pages. What do you think a good profile should contain? Who amongst the people you follow do you think has a really good profile page, and why?
