   Where is the thread to introduce yourself to the HP community?  I heard a lot of good things about the people here.  I think saying "Hola" would be a good way to get started here.

   You've come to the right place..and welcome, Whimsical Chair.
   
   Now that you've had a couple of weeks to look around, you should give some thought to writing a few articles for us to read.
   
   By the way, it's not a popularity contest here, or a social network.  No one's going to 'follow' you, unless they really like what you write.  We're primarily concerned with writing interesting stuff that hopefully informs, or makes people think..or at least amuse.  The hub comments and forums are a way of connecting with other Hubbers for support and amusement.
   
   I think you'll find most of us here are very supportive, and quite often hilarious and irreverent (especially in the forums...see The Sandpit).

      I haven't really been looking around.  I'm already writing for two other websites, and this seems like a good place to try to make some money via Amazon.

      Calling the place The Sandpit doesn't seem like a good idea.  There's nothing pleasant about a sandpit.  What wrong with calling it a quicksand??
      How about Flaming Hot Place??

         The Sandpit is a forum thread for games and such. You'll find all sorts of different things in the Sandpit forums. It might create the HubPages addiction that many hub writers suffer from presently.

            and the snadpit is exempt from hubtivity so you can write stuff there and people who see your profile cant stalk you there...
            
            and it makes me think of playground places. pretty fitting for a forum name if you ask me.

   Forget about hub scores, no one really knows what they are or where they come from.
   
   Keep personal attacks to a minimum, as the banishments and the beatings will continue until moral improves.
