Hello Everyone!
My name is Jennifer and I am new to Hub pages. I just posted my first blog yesterday. I am excited to be a part of this experience. I have read many blogs and every one is very well written and very informative. I am proud to be among such talented and skilled writers!
Welcome to Hubpages! It's a great place to write! I hope you have as great a time here as I have had! :
Thank you, Earl! I think I'm going to have a lot of fun! Have a great day!
I'm ready to post my next entry for today. Could someone tell me, can I just add a new page to my existing blog or do I have to open a new hub? Thanks!
Hi Jennifer, Welcome to HP. This is not really a blog platform. It's meant for relevant article writing, not really daily diary or blogging.
You can always add to an existing hub but not as a separate page. You can create a new hub, however with a new title. It's a good idea to break up the information into more than one capsule or it becomes daunting to the reader. If you look to the top right of your hub in edit mode, you'll see the capsules you can add). Happy writing!
Thank you for the advice! I appreciate it! My intent is to write daily articles on how to create a gracious and beautiful but humble home on a budget. Happy New year to you!
Hi, I just read one of your Hubs. May I make a suggestion? Your text is not broken up enough. It's one long text. I think you'd be better to add some text capsules to make more "paragraphs" Look at some other Hubs by seasoned Hubbers and you will see what I'm trying to say. Don't look at mine; I'm certainly NO example! We all learn from one another. Everyone is very helpful here. Never be afraid to ask questions, OK?
Hello and welcome! I have found this to be a very positive community and have really enjoyed my time here. I hope you find your time here just as pleasant. And, I also recommend starting a new hub as it will provide you with more content and help separate different topics. Here's to a prosperous new year!
What couturepopcafe was trying to say to you was that each hub you write should read like a magazine article.
In other words, it is a complete article on its own, but of course you can add to it, edit it, change it around as you feel like.
But this is not a blogging platform. Everything you publish should be interesting to people outwith your immediate family.
I have not read your stuff yet.
Welcome to HubPages!
The best advice I can give you is to read my most recently published hubs on HubPages.
Other than that, try to enjoy yourself while you're here.
Happy New Year to every Hubber on Hubpages! Thank you for making me feel so welcome and I treasure all your advice. If you're going out tonight, please be safe and if you're staying in, stay warm and sleep well.2012 is going to be a great year!
Love,
Jennifer
I have to agree with the white space recommendation.
I won't even read run-on text like that. If I came across it in some other context, I would have voted it down and might have even flagged it.
Go back and edit - use paragraphs.
Hi!
Could someone assist me? I'm going back to re-work my two articles. I'm totally new to this so I haven't figured everything out yet. How do I add pictured to the body of my article?
Thanks!
Add a photo capsule, edit it to upload pictures from your computer.
Done. Now how do I get the pics into the body of my article. Do I have the ability the arrange the look of the article manually?
As I said, add a photo capsule. If you break your text into multiple capsules, you can position the photo wherever you want.
See http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/vide … to-capsule and the others in that section too.
OK! I made some changes to my articles. When you have a free minute could you look at them and tell me what you think?
Thanks!
Welcome to HubPages! There are many great hubbers and hubs here offering advice for those just starting out. I wish you the best of luck here!

Where is the thread to introduce yourself to the HP community? I heard a lot of good things about the people here. I think saying "Hola" would be a good way to get started here.

Evening. I'm new; so, I'm not aware if I made any overlook the rules on forum posting. With the article approval, is there a way to find what mistakes and rules that relate to unpublished articles so I know in what area I can improve and edit? The links are very helpful; but, they have too much...

Hi, yes, I'm a newbie. I read a lot about hubpages before joining, and I have just written my first two hubs and would like some suggestions for these, and for writing hubs in general. I would especially appreciate help on layout--usually I do okay in layout for print and normal web pages, but this...

Hi!I am new to HubPages and need HELP! I joined a couple of days ago and have only been able to publish one article. I am unclear as to how postings work. I was under the impression that once I chose a title for my hub, I could just continue to add new topics. I want my Hub...
