we need a message to pop up whenever someone post the same story or title on the forums. I see a lot of the same stories being covered.
Good suggestion Stacie! I second that.
That is spam, just report spam -- and I don't mean the canned meat type.
it's not spam..other members are posting the same stories as i am and vice versa ..I don't think it's intentional..
I can see how that can happen...inadvertently or deliberately.
With some forums, there are literally thousands of posts. Most of us do not have time to sit here combing through each and every prior posting to discover whether or not our current issue has been previously addressed. I know I don't.
So, if I sift back through 5 or 10 pages (depending on my available time at the moment, and there are still many more pages left), if I don't see at least a semi-related thread by that time, I am going to post as a new topic.
I'm sorry if that offends or troubles anyone, but it is just not realistic to try and read every single prior post on every forum category. We'd never get anything else done!

Content that lives on Discover.HubPages will continue to earn revenue through your HubPages account.If...

I along with others are tired of the never ending spam in the Q and A section. Some of us prefer the more civil (well sometimes more civil) Q and A over the forums. Please start something that slows the overwhelming amount of spam that has been there lately. Implement something that keeps newbies...

I suggest that HP prevent any registered user from posting a new topic to the forums if they have no hubs. They can comment but not start new threads. Most forums that I use have this restriction in place.

Some folks here post in the Forums without articles on the HP platform. They also promote other platforms and boast of their success. I would call this spamming.

I have been seeing a lot of forum spam lately. I think it could be *greatly* reduced by only allowing new sign-ups to post under the help section until they've published one hub. After they've published their first hub, then they could post anywhere. I think this would deter a lot of the people who...

Many hubbers admit to being addicted to the forums and I've been afraid that it would happen to me. I'm sure it's difficult to overcome this addiction. I know it's a lot of fun to participate, but I still want to be very productive and write as much as I can. I think I maybe at high risk for...
