Some folks here post in the Forums without articles on the HP platform. They also promote other platforms and boast of their success. I would call this spamming.

Jodah, yeah. I wonder what they gain from it.

Kenna, It seems like a form of boasting, and blowing their own trumpet, despite them saying they are just trying to be helpful.

Three posts this morning spamming us from a company that has not written an article. What has HP turned into?

Kenna, have you ever noticed that each chapter just seems to get worse?????

I've always found it odd to get people following you who don't have articles as well.

Don, most of these people are companies. I wish HP or Matt implemented a better filtering system.

Yes, Kenna, they are companies, and it is annoying. What I notice when I receive an email about them "following" me, is that these commercial entities usually follow only a few members -- almost like some set-in-stone routine.

Genna, Yes. If they knew anything about HP, they wouldn't bother. There is no benefit for them.

If a reader(s) don't write articles, does hubpages give such leave to post thread in the forum?

      Miebakagh,

It has happened. It's a waste of time.

Kenna, I know it's happening. But is they any rules for such ventures?

Good question. What I have noticed is that once they spam, they're gone.

I just send the team (is there a team anymore or is it just Matt?) a note that it's a bogus follower and that seems to be the end of it

  8. Kenna McHugh profile image92
    Kenna McHughposted 4 weeks ago

That handles it, Rupert. But with all due respect. Why should we flag these guys?

  9. Miebakagh57 profile image70

With due respect, I don't see Kenna's post some 12 hours ago.                                     Seems the glitch on hubpages end side is preventing me or (us)? from geting the picture?

I don't think the spamming has got any worse. I just think it's more visible now that the forums are so quiet.
