Have we any kind of a guideline as to what is a decent Hub Karma level?
Let's say:
30-40 Bad
40-50 Ok
50-60 Good
60-70 Better
70-80 Very good
90-100 Awesome
Just curious.
I think it is the least important number on the site, (though it may affect you in the next life) .
BTW-- what about the 80-90 range?
HubKarma has zero impact on earnings, and is extremely overrated as a concept.
Feeling the same. My 25 and now 50 doesn't make any diff for me in any way, it didn't even increase my profile score, didn't see it changed my ranking in google at all either, just ignore
Linking will benefit the whole HP - like wikipedia -- but not individually,
Hub Karma wont work here as we are composed of individuals and not many have sockpupps, so they wont link to others work --
Very confused about this. I have not posted any hubs for some time and my level was 85. Now I posted a new hub, linked to other hubber's hub and refreshed a couple of my old hubs with links to mine and other hubber's hubs. Karma went down to 79. I thought it would go up. What did I misunderstand?
Similar experience.
I was really low - started linking out, shot up as high as 86. Kept linking out (always relevant, I use the suggest links, but only add relevant hubs) and now I'm down to 79.
All this random/impossible-to-determine-what-works stuff can get frustrating.
hi- I joined a few days ago and have written two hubs and my Karma score is 1 - i hope i'm not missing out on anything!!
You're not missing anything. It will go up with time - It doesn't factor into anything. Just there to show how often you post comments, and in forums, interact with other hubbers, etc...
Mine started at 1, too, when I signed up.
No worries - Just keep writing!!
Does this boost how often your pages are shown on various areas of the hubpages site?
I have been linking out to other hubs and my karma score is stuck at 51. Why is it not going up? Is there a certain amount of linking out that I must do or something in order for it to go up to the next range?

I have started hubbing recently and want to know what actually hubkarma does . If I link someone else's hub from my own hub will they know it and link back to mine? how can linking to other's hubs be beneficial to me? I also want to find out if your hub karma score can make your hubs appear on the...

Hopefully the right people see this. Here is an idea how to make the new HubKarma score both very useful and beloved by writers on HubPages. Additionally, this would also provide more incentive to Hubbers to link to good hubs thereby giving HubPages what it actually wants from starting...

Hi-A couple of (unrelated??) questions today... 1) I was reading the Hub Karma section, and notice it emphasies 'links to other's hubs' as a major factor. Lately, I've been using the 'suggest links' feature--apparently this is not the same? It most often DOES provide a link to...

I am not looking to name names here as this happens quite a lot on Hubpages, but can someone please clarify whether or not it is against the rules for a Hubber to come to your hub, leave a comment and then include a link to one of their own hubs as a part of that comment. I know it says under each...

Hi,I have been in hubpages for less than a week, and I have been munching information in help pages and guides ever since. I have made a few hubs, all about medicine. Basically, my problem revolves around references. I'm itching to ask how you guys put in the reference section at the bottom of the...

This topic has been raised a couple of times in other threads, I thought it was worth posting as a separate topic to get more attention. We all know how important backlinks are. Current thinking is that simply exchanging links (site A links to site B and site B links to site A) is a...
