    Blogger...?
    Wordpress...?
    DevHub...?
    Any Other suggestions?

It will be a website or blog that I plan on monetizing to make money. What's the best platform to get started on?

If you would solely do blogging, Wordpress is the best choice. If you need an e-commerce website go for OpenCart. If it would be a dating/social network website, Boonex Dolphin will be perfect. If you would open a bookmarking website, Pligg is a choice as well. Overall, there are many open source applications which you can customize. It depends on what functionality you want to achieve.

It will be best if you can buy your own domain name and hosting to start a website. You can also install wordpress on your domain if you can't design.

If you don't want to invest money, then go for blogger.

I would go for Wordpress with my own hosted domain name. Joomla is also good if you're not looking for an all-blogging site.

    Good luck!
