I want to avoid the "duplicate content" matter, so I need clarification...
I read that I can post articles from my own blog or website to HubPages but will it affect my score or revenue?
Is is best to post the original article to HubPages first and then to my blog or to another writing platform to avoid receiving a "duplicate content" notice? Does it affect score or revenue?
If you post contents found elsewhere on the internet here, it will most likely be flagged as duplicate content. This could affect the score of the hub, and if you have much of that it could affect your author score as well. Importantly, you are not allowed to have any outbound links from duplicate content.
If you publish here first, then subsequently publish elsewhere, technically you should not be penalized by HubPages. However, you will be competing against yourself in the search engines, which may negatively affect your earnings.

I was reading a Hub on Hubpages, and was concerned to read the advice that the content we use in our Hubs should be unique, not something we've posted elsewhere on the net.I started out on Helium and have nearly 200 articles on that site. When I joined HubPages, I saw it as a great opportunity to...

I know hubpages prohibits writers from having duplicate content. My problem is understanding what that exactly means. I heard from many that it means writers can't publish content here that already exists elsewhere, but can publish here first and then publish it elsewhere. My concern is if I were...

Got a bunch of duplicate content warnings and I am not sure if Hubpages found duplicate content in my Hubs or on the web. If Hubpages finds duplicate content, how hard is it for them to share with us where they found it and what exactly they found? It sure would save and lot of time and...

When I first joined Hubs I posted a review I had written for another website but it was flagged by Hubs as duplicate content even though I wrote it.So I am asking if I post a hub on hubpages first am I allowed to post it elsewhere afterwards or do Hubpages any rights to it, just curious ?

I had a couple hubs flagged as duplicate. It is my own work, I thought I had revised it good enough. Guess not. Today I rewrote the 2 hubs again and edited them here. I am curious to know how long will it take for the duplicate flag to go away once resubmitted and passed?
