I've been unhappy since the holidays begin and now I find this.
I bought a domain a year ago and have posted only one article. I've been really lazy and not checking the site. Well I went to it today and got a nice picture of a silhouetted soldier, a message saying hacked by some guy. Guess it's his calling card.
Followed by questions and then answers like What is Islam? History of Islam, etc. Then, This is for my brethren around the world.
Finally, Sorry Admin. Your site has been hacked. Have a nice day.
So now I'm running an antivirus scan to see if visiting my site infected me and trying to find a backup of my content.
Isn't that a lovely New Year's discovery? Anyone else ever have their site hacked?
Was there any content that could possibly have caused them to crack your site? Or was your website one of the many at your hosting company that got cracked? Either way it's bad news to start this new year
Web Host is fine. hacker left a name of F.T.P Hacker, so I'm assuming it was an FTP hack. It's very irritating but I'm fixing the issue.
At least I did not have the site monetized.

Curious: Do you have multiple accounts, because your profile shows 68 hubs. I took a lot of mine and moved them. I let what I have left sit til it goes idle then I take remove it. I have over 80 articles, new ones, that are not published here, but elsewhere. Earnings are less than 2 bucks a month....

Perhaps this is old hat and I didn't read the memo, but just wanted to let you know (I informed HubPages) that web host service dot org has hacked HubPages. http : // webhostservice . org/ They have inserted their url into every one of my Hubs.

This is long, so here's the bottom line: Basically, my problem is I want to build a site around the same topics and keywords I've done well with here on HP, but I don't want to do anything that would damage the work I've already posted here.I have a couple of niche HubPages accounts that do okay....

What is the benefit of saying "radical extremist" as opposed to "Islamic extremist?"Is it less offense to Muslims to hear "extremist" instead of "Islamic terrorist?" Does debate over what to call it add fuel to the fire?
