Nothing like ending the year with your best day ever! A month ago I wrote about what was going on New Years eve for Disney, Universal Studios and Sea World in my tourist site about Orlando.

Yesterday, new years eve, my traffic exploded on that site with people trying to find out what was going on at the theme parks.

So I'm happy to say I ended the year with my best adsense day ever, $46.16 and a monthly total of $677.93! big_smile

My goal this year is to double that amount per day and make it an average. smile

You make $650+ with just 29 hubs?

I made about $40 with 60 hubs in December. (Plus some Amazon too.)

Grats Bill! And Happy New Year! smile

Actually I had the worst day in a couple of months, and I strongly suspect today will be even worse. Still a decent amount though, so no complaints smile

    Totally awesome Bill big_smile

I ended my day with a vodka (or three) and the notion that I really can't walk in high heels lol

            Evidence?

I could walk in high heels if it was chic and sexy to wear them with hiking socks - my favored choice of footwear being hiking shoes and matching socks. How sexy hmm

I prefer a firm (flat) foot on terra firma as opposed to teetering around and upping my chances of finding myself accidentally horizontal. Of course flat-footed + vodka has frequently caused the same outcome - but that's another story big_smile

    Bill,

Wow, congratulations! You are making $650 a month on 29 hubs only or is it your combined income with other adsense? I made cool 2 cents past 7 days.

Guess I need to write about Disney land I suppose more. Funny thing is I was there last year! It was fun.

Thanks everyone. On a side note, today has been the worst in a year! lol

But that's to be expected on new years,,, and maybe for the rest of the week as people relax and get back to work. hmm

Congrats for getting some good income. You told money comes from your personal site. Can you share with us

      How old are those site?

Bill Manningposted 14 years agoin reply to this

HI there TopUniverse. The sites I make the bulk of my money off of are around 3 years old. However I have a 6 month old site and I'm making Amazon product pages on it that are on the 1st page of Google.

But websites that have aged a year or two are best. It just takes a lot of hard work, SEO and keyword finding. I never try to rank for top keywords but the hundreds of smaller ones. smile

          Thanks Bill Manning.

More of the opinion that earning from personal site is lot difficult than hubpages. But unfortunately you are working on reverse way, you just have have 29 hubs.

          Don't have faith on hubpages?

          1. Bill Manning profile image76
Bill Manningposted 14 years agoin reply to this

Oh no, I think hubpages is great. They have way more traffic here than on a personal website,,,,, in a way.

By that I mean, for all my hubs on here I get around 200 page views a day. With all my sites combined I get,,,, lets see,,,, around 10,000 page views a day.

I just have much more content on my sites than on hubpages, because I only came here after making all my sites.

So I find that when I have time to make an article, I want to use it to keep building up my own sites, not put it on a free site.

Plus I get 100% of ads on my own sites. I just don't have enough free time to make lots of articles on both my sites and here,, that's all. smile
