Well, I'm fast approaching my 1 year anniversary here, and I figured I would devote my 100th hub to a look back at my experiences at HubPages.

Not to toot my own horn, but I've had about 280,000 views and have made about $700 (Adsense + Amazon) in 2010, and that seems pretty good, IMHO! I must be doing something right, so just what sorts of things do you, my fellow hubbers, want to know about how I did it?

I only got this far by listening to other hubbers, so I'd like to apply that same strategy to writing my 100th hub!

I plan on covering my traffic and earnings, how I research and promote my hubs, and my own personal philosophy on how to be successful at HubPages...

So, what else should I include in this milestone hub?

Wow!! that is so great of you, wanting to share your experience.. please do write about the things that you are doing right and like the Rss hub it would be a major hit I am sure with all hubbers..
The experience of successful hubbers like you will surely help people like me who are still learning to do things right.. I am sure that you will come up with some great stuff!!  smile

Congratulations and best wishes in advance!! smilesmilesmile

Congrats Edweirdo.  smile  I like the Klondike bar idea, but I prefer a fudgesicle which Klondike doesn't make.  Too bad, I can only have those virtually right now.

What about a hub about what brought you to Hubpages, and how your expectations and actual experience differed?

I had forgotten about this thread. I published that 100th hub last week, and I was able to use a lot of the suggestions from the hubbers here!

Thanks to all who contributed big_smile

don't post hub about your experience..

You can just post as a normal page after taking necessary care and that will be enough to celeberate your 100th Hub..

Edweirdo, you're such a great hubber. I recently read your hub about how you made your first $100. it's written so well and is very helpful to anyone at any stage who wants to earn with their hubs.

I think whatever you want to share will be perfect. I'm looking forward to reading it!

    congrats and happy 2011. smile

Why not spin it so that it works into the Personal Finance category and/or HubMob and tell people how they can get out of debt by earning extra money on HubPages?  Who knows, you might win one of the daily prizes or MORE in the process?

You are already popular in hubapges. My advance wishes to your 100th hub. I can't wait for that still 4 more to go.

So write your 100th hub to help newbies since newbies in hubpages have lack of self confidence, lack of patience and much more.

    Write in this way.

    1. How you came to hubpages?
    2. What did you plan?
    3. What actually happened?
    4. How to make successful hub?
    5. How to get more traffic?
    6. What are things to avoid when publishing hub?
    7. What are your achievements?
    8. What is your future goal?
    9. Some tips to expert hubbers.

These are just my thought, you may include more additional things that are helpful to hubbers.

    Congrats, Edweirdo.

How about hub that teaches other users what you have learned so far in Hubpages? That's just my suggestion.

    Have a nice day!

    Great suggestions so far!

KCC - that's an interesting take - I haven't really bothered with the contests in the past, but this might be an opportunity...

Top Universe - I like your list! Those are definitely some topics I should include

Everyone else, Thanks for the kind words! This hub should be published sometime in the first half of this month - the anniversary of my first published hub is Jan 16, so I'd like to publish this one before then...

    Keep the suggestions coming big_smile

Speaking of Klondike bars.......love the creamy texture....but is it just me, or would they be a lot better with a stick?  You'd swear I was 3 years old when I eat one of those.  Maybe I just don't eat it fast enough.  I get chocolate and ice cream all over everything.  LOL

Every hub that I have ever published in response to a HubMob topic has done well for me (pageviews & income).  It's worth considering.  The contest is a bonus.

All very supportive comments... I must admit my 100th hub was one of the most difficult. Motivation slowed at about 98 and I really had to work at the next two.

So, dear I wish you motivation and congratulations!!!smile

Considering that you started HubDefender out of your experiences here on HP, I would think it would be interesting to do an interview hub like what TopUniverse suggested.
What ever you choose to do, I am sure it will be a hit.

I'm glad this thread got bumped to the first page as I missed it the first time around. If I can make my 100th hub half as well as yours, I'll consider it an accomplishment.
