I have tried to edit two RSS capsule on one Hub and in edit mode they show results as expected but as soon as I hit the "done editing" button the message comes up "this does not appear to be a valid RSS feed." One of the feeds is simply a copy of the "subscribe to tonymac's rss feed." Other Hubs seem not to have this problem. The affected Hub is http://hubpages.com/hub/The-myth-of-the … 1-May-1910
    Hope someone can help.

Did you preview it before leaving the capsule?

Yes and both showed the expected results. The results disappeared when I went out of edit mode.

That is odd... (I am no expert, I have left my RSS feed capsule without previewing and cursed it for not working gone back in and realised I forgot a step...) You know sometimes the most simpliest answer sorry it wasn't in this case.

Yes indeed! And the RSS capsules on all the other Hubs I've checked are working fine. Just this one, and I've tried deletiong them and re-doing them, but the problem remains. A big mystery!

Problem seems to have gone! Deleting the offending capsule and making a new one seems to have done the trickj!

I know this isn't much help you to Tony, but I too have come across this problem recently on some of my own hubs.

The feed works perfectly in edit mode but not in publish mode, and its only on some hubs! Others are fine.

    Wonder if it's a bug?

I've had this happen to me on several occasions. I think it just means that the RSS feed hadn't been generated yet. Maybe that's a bad choice of words...

If I create an RSS feed using "latest," I would quite often get that same exact error. As soon as I changed it to "hot," it worked just fine. Over a period of time, I was able to go back and change "hot" to "latest."

Note to self: Have at least one cup of coffee before posting on the forums. smile

        I do???

Good morning to you too. I was just reading your post about Ask.com (grats, btw) where you were saying that traffic is the lifeblood of hubs. My head immediately changed "traffic" to "caffeine." Sigh...

Ha ha... Yes I am a caffiene addict too!! I would totally agree!! can't function without the stuff... but traffic is also good!! Yeah, I noticed I had hits on a hub that has been published a while and wanted to see where the traffic came from it was ask.com 2x!! smile Also I got a hit from google.fi -- which by the way my English hubs do extremely well in!! So I will continue to do my travel ones!! smile ha ha!!

smile Caffiene is very important!! I hope you follow my flow!!

I've already had too many LOL!
I'm not sure what you mean by RSS not being generated yet. It's after all the same the feed that I use on other Hubs? I'm not great at this stuff - still learning.
Will go back to the particular Hub now and see if anything has chnaged!

Deleted one RSS capsule and now the one left behind is working! Why? Have no idea but anyway will stick with the one.
        Thanks all for commenting!

I'm not sure if the RSS feed being "generated" was the right word to use. (Again, insufficient caffeine...) I just know that sometimes the "latest" won't work for me, but the "hot" and "best" will.

        Okay, now back to...
