Yeah, you can develop some cool widgets if HubPages had an API.
like display your hubscore, new comments and other stuff in your desktop when your OS loads.
Or grab overall stats or anything else hp knows and so on for things you are analyzing.
Application Programming Interface, but that doesn't tell you much.
The interface can be as simple as Http GETS (many Google API's are that simple) or really geekish and hard to use.
There are also no inherent promises as to what you can get from it - Google often disappoints that way.
