I have been here a month now, my profile page is pretty poor as I have never really put any thought into it. As I've looked around the site though I notice most people have very long profile pages with links to quite a few of their hubs. So I am thinking maybe I need to get my act together and spruce mine up a little. So what should I be looking to put on my profile page?
If you're here to write to earn a passive income, think along the lines of how the hubbers that earn the most write theirs - business like. Check out their profiles.
If you're here writing to have fun, write it more personal. And if you're here to showcase your fiction, poetry etc I'd go (again) for something more serious.
Have a look around - go with what suits your purpose the best. That's my take on it
The links to hubs on your profile page are mainly to improve the ranking of those hubs because the profile page is usually the strongest page a Hubber has. But it also serves as a way of guiding visitors along all your hubs, that is also a good thing.
Your profile should be attractive enough so that people become a follower. They need to get an idea of who they are following and why: can they learn from this person about making money online or do they share similar interests? This is really a first step in getting more followers too.
Profile page doesn't have to be long - check out relache's, or mine - they are both short. Sally's Trove has a nice one, too. Patty Inglish has a longer page, as does Enelle Lamb. just cruise around and find some you like. It all depends how much you want to say about yourself...
I checked out your profile and yes, it is quite short. When I was new here I also had a very short profile as I didn't know any better. But I found out that I get a lot of traffic through my profile, so I revised it a bit. Now it includes some links to my hubs and those hubs I featured in my profile get more traffic than those which are not. You are welcome to read my profile. I hope it helps
Don't forget to put a referral tracker in there somewhere.
I don't have any links to my hubs in my profile, maybe I should add a few...

HubPages used to provide us with an organizational tool within our profile pages that enabled us to group or categorize different hubs. For example, poetry, short stories, articles, etc. This issue has probably been addressed previously, but I was hoping HP would consider restoring this...

I'm looking for examples of people who have really good profile pages. What do you think a good profile should contain? Who amongst the people you follow do you think has a really good profile page, and why?

How do I put a link on my Profile page that links to one of my GROUPS of Hubs? Here's what I want (or am hoping) to do: On my profile page I have a list of the topics I mostly write about. I have (or will) create groups for each topic. I want each item in the list to be a clickable link to that...

I just updated my HubPages profile a couple days ago and in my profile linked to some of my favorite hub topics that I wrote about. Is this bad to do this since on the profile page we have those same hubs randomly come up below? I just don't want overkill but like the thought that I've got my...

It appears that there has been a recent change on my profile page. Underneath the number of published hubs, there is a number of featured hubs. I do not want this to be shown. My ratio of featured hubs is less than 50% of the number of published hubs. My understanding of why...
