Hello fellow Hubbers,
I'm a newbie and not too sure about forum etiquette so, I thought I would just write a little note to say 'hello'
Actually, I better say 'Merhaba' as I am writing from Turkey where I have lived since 2005.
Am also wondering if there are any other expats among you?
Wishing you all a great day.
Welcome to Hugpages, Kym!
Yeah, quite a few expats here, including myself. There was a thread about it just a few days ago, can't find it for some reason
Welcome to Hubpages
Not an expat the now, was until recently though (lived in Lisbon) but I've turned my hubby into one
Oooops sorry Misha! I'll have a look for the previous thread. Thank you for the welcome also :-) Which country are you in?
Thanks Frogdroppıng and congrats on the conversion of your hubby. Is he enjoying being his new life as an expat?
To answer ... he's kinda ok on the whole. He speaks english fluently so that helps. I didn't know a word of Portuguese when I first went over so I reckon that helps. He misses many things but as you'll know - you've got to roll with it and learn to adapt.
If you want home - you go home *meh*
Yes so true. My Hubby really has no interest in visiting the UK, let alone living in it! However, for one so opinionated on the subject, he really needs a visit!!
One of the downsides of joining two countries together by way of matrimony lol!
We are the same - 'oh we do this so much better in Portugal' ... 'whatever. When you guys learn how to tell the time as good as the English then you can crow matey-bob'
Nothing to be sorry about - if I could not find it knowing it is somewhere here, then you certainly cannot be held responsible for not finding it.
I am from Russia, and for the last 10 years live in the USA.

There are a lot of us who haven't been feeling safe on the forums. They've felt stalked, harassed and browbeaten.Sadly, some folks go with the letter of the law, but not the spirit of it in their posts. For an excellent post on why we need Forum Moderators, check out what Makingamark says here...

Is it true that the 60/40 model only applies after HubPages pays their expenses? Because I have expenses too... I don't see why we should suffer because HubPages wants 40% to be pure profit AFTER their expenses.

Ok... enough is enough. We hate the arbitrary hubber score. It is a phantom's judgement of us and the Q and A section does not give a clear cut way to effectively appease the phantom.Until you can give us an exact science (i.e. the way capitals and punctuation are used), it is not fair to stamp a...

It would seem that HubPages frowns upon the ongoing interaction within my popular thread, and I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this sort of trend within their own threads? The responses are relevant, engaging, and ongoing; so is this HubPages trying to say, indirectly, that it is time to...
